Activision has been showing a lot of composure with regards to the Modern Warfare 3 information leak that occurred last week. Kotaku didn’t just spill the beans, they blew a bag of beans up when revealing a whole host of information that had been leaked from within the company to their website. Activision responded by releasing a group of 4 teaser trailers ahead of schedule likely to give themselves even more exposure while the leak was on everyone’s mind.

The trailers however, were released through Activision’s Call of Duty YouTube¬†page and not a designated Modern Warfare 3 website. Whether or not the site was ready to go when the leaks happened, it’s certainly ready now. The Modern Warfare 3 website takes you directly to a map of the world with little plus sign icons designating locations you can find content for.

Currently the only locations that can be checked out are those featured in the teaser trailers: New York, London, Paris, and Berlin. Other locations have been rumored for the game including Dubai, so there may be a chance that as more and more information is revealed about the game we will be seeing more locations pop up on the map. Similarly, the locations already there will likely have more videos and screenshots added for each one to showcase the upgraded visuals that will likely be coming with the next iterations of the Call of Duty franchise.

The next big Modern Warfare 3 reveal is going to be happening during the NBA Finals on May 23, 2011, mirroring similar reveals for Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 in the two years prior, also during NBA playoff games. It’s being dubbed by Activision as the “World Premiere” so we expect a full teaser trailer. Whatever the case may be, it’s sure to bring some extra eyes to the match, and the match itself is most definitely going to give the next reveal a ton of exposure.

Modern Warfare 3 is going to bring the war back to our world on November 8, 2011 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
