Activision recently confirmed that this year's Call of Duty game is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, showing off the game's logo and not much else. Now Activision has revealed proper key art for Modern Warfare 2 using a massive 90,000 square foot advertisement that is supposedly visible-from-space, while also confirming when exactly the game will be available to the masses.

As announced by Activision, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 release date is October 28. When that date rolls around, Call of Duty fans will be able to jump into a new globe-trotting adventure with the returning Task Force 141, a group comprised of characters who should be familiar to those that played the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot or the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trilogy of games.

With this latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reveal, it seems that the leaks were right that Activision is going to focus on revealing the Modern Warfare 2 campaign first, with more information on the multiplayer and other game modes to come later in the summer. Activision stopped short of revealing exactly when the big Modern Warfare 2 campaign reveal will take place, but reputable leakers have pointed to early June.

According to the latest leaks, which fans should take with a grain of salt, the Modern Warfare 2 campaign reveal could happen on June 8. Alternatively, the game may be featured at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest on June 9 instead, or even the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase that's scheduled for June 12. Whatever the case may be, Call of Duty fans can likely expect more info sooner rather than later.
