Spec Ops has always been a fun way for players to team up and fight against hordes of enemies while eliminating them in most creative ways possible. And with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, fans of the game mode can enjoy even more fun Spec Ops missions tied to the campaign. But aside from mowing down enemy units, players can collect valuable Intel Fragments that give more information about beloved characters of the franchise and even hint toward future content.
Here's the location of all 10 Intel fragments in Defender: Mt. Zaya. Players who find at least 20 Intel Fragments will be rewarded with a prestigious trophy/achievement. On top of that, finding all 50 Intel Fragments will reward players with a calling card, emblem, and epic weapon skin.
To collect one of the Intel Fragments, players will need to save up $20,000. This can be easily accomplishing alone (if the other player disconnects) or with the help of a teammate if they drop their cash. Additionally, the final Intel Fragment in this guide is currently bugged and needs to be fixed. Nonetheless, players can still obtain it by carefully following the method stated in that section.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 1/10
The first Intel Fragment is found inside the warehouse where players land before starting the mission (next to the Weapon Wall and Ammo Refill Station). Players will find it on top of a wooden crate closest to the door that leads to Target Site C.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 2/10
The second Intel Fragment is found on a bench (next to lockers) inside the building where Target Site C is located.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 3/10
Players can find the third Intel Fragment inside a building near the Target Site B area (marked on the map). The Intel Fragment is located on a desk next to a monitor.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 4/10
Players should head toward the circular building within Target Site B. The Intel Fragment (blue folder) will be in front of two computer monitors.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 5/10
Now players should head to Target Site A to locate the fifth Intel Fragment. Players will find it on top of a console in the middle of the room (where the hole is located).
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 6/10
The sixth Intel Fragment is located in a hallway that leads to the exterior of the facility (the one closest to Target Site B). The Intel Fragment can be found between two servers, one of the will be knocked over.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 7/10
The seventh Intel Fragment is found inside the circular building behind the warehouse (where players landed). There are three possible spawn locations: one is on the bottom floor on top of a desk (see picture), the second is on a file cabinet next to two monitors that are on, and the final possible spawn location is on the third floor on a table with two computer monitors.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 8/10
The eighth Intel Fragment can be found in the room directly behind the Buy Station (it's the one with several desks). There are two possible spawn locations for this Intel Fragment: the first is in a file cabinet closest to Target Site A (see picture) and the second one is in a file cabinet closest to the Buy Station.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 9/10
To collect the ninth Intel Fragment, players will need to interact (pay $20,000) with a vending machine located inside a building near Target Site A (marked on the map). Players can earn more money skipping the wait time by interacting with an antenna next to the Buy Station.
Defender: Mt. Zaya Intel Fragment 10/10
The final Intel Fragment is located in a locked building near Target Site B (marked on the map). Since its bugged (one of the many bugs players have encountered so far), the only way of unlocking the door is by equipping the Assault Suit or purchasing the Juggernaut Suit (after the door opens players can un-equip the suit). Once open, players will need to quickly run to the Intel Fragment located on top of a table and smash the interact button since it'll teleport the player out after a second. Players can change their settings to "Priorize Interact" to make it a lot easier, but even then it may take several tries before working.
