A new program is hitting MLB The Show 22, and unlike other challenges that reward players with packs and specific units, this one brings much more prestige. San Diego Studio announced a new MLB The Show 22 Summer Circuit, with tons of prizes to be obtained simply by participating.

Announced on Twitter, MLB The Show 22 will hold its Summer Circuit program with a prize pool of $25,000. Included in the list of prizes are the chance to win millions of stubs, signed merchandise from cover athlete Shohei Ohtani, and more to be announced at a later date.

The contest is free to enter via the Battlefy website. Players will be required to have a PSN Account, Xbox Live Account, or Nintendo Switch Online Account and must have it linked to their Battlefy account prior to the start of the tournament. Players must provide their date of birth, PSN ID, Xbox Live Gamertag or Nintendo Account, email address, and Discord username, with the first round of qualifiers taking place between May 21 to May 22. After every round, the top 64 contestants in Diamond Dynasty will advance to the next round while earning MLB The Show 22 stubs for their efforts.

In each round, players will queue up for a match on Battlefy on the day of the tournament and accept the match. Once accepted, each player will be required to add the opponent they are assigned to in Diamond Dynasty in order to access the "Play Vs. Friend" mode. Players who complete a minimum of six games, regardless of whether they win or lose, will receive 11,000 MLB The Show 22 stubs, equivalent to $10 USD. There will be four qualifying rounds, lasting two days each in one-week intervals, and the Grand Finale will take place on June 18 and 19.

The prizes are absolutely insane, with the first-place haul's estimated worth at close to $19,000. The top winner will take home $15,000 USD, one $1,000 gift card voucher to the MLB Shop, one authentic baseball used in an MLB 2022 Home Run Derby, one Shohei Ohtani autographed Nike Home Red Angels Authentic jersey, and one Shohei Ohtani autographed Rawlings Official MLB baseball. The runner-up will be rewarded with the same item perks but $5,000 and a $750 gift card voucher for the MLB Shop. The tournament is open to legal residents of Canada and the United States, and players will be tested with constructing their best MLB The Show 22 Diamond Dynasty team while following the strict restrictions set in place.

MLB The Show 22 is available on PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
