Conquest mode is the latest craze in Diamond Dynasty and it's got many veterans of the series abuzz. A single game can realistically last for days and involve hundreds of games or be over in mere minutes without ever making a single pitch or stepping up to the plate. Yet even longtime players have been stymied on some of the maps and can't find a way to win.

And it's not due to a lack of trying. There are multiple diamond-quality players available and top-tier players understand the value of these in a lineup or on the market. Those who want the best players in the game will have to either spend their hard-earned cash or learn to play this Risk-knockoff mode. These are some points that will ensure the gamer clears the map of every other ball club.

10 Build Up The Diamond Dynasty Team First

Theoretically, Conquest mode maps can be won without ever playing the game. But this is highly unlikely and on most maps, requires so much luck that such a feat would be next to impossible.

Also, players can steal more fans on higher difficulty settings, so try to regularly beat teams on Veteran mode for ideal results in Conquest mode. Conquest mode should be among the last things players do every season.

9 Save The Hard Maps For Last

Start easy. The diamond card will entice amateur players to jump right into the hardest map available. And this can have crushing results; the Nation of Baseball Challenge map takes double-digit hours to beat, entire days for most gamers playing casually.

Starting easy will give players experience, card packs, and stubs, all of which can build up the core roster. Use these advantages before moving on to the Inning Diamond map.

8 Move In A Spiral

Teams will get more fans when they cover more territory. But they'll often make a mistake when they go straight for enemy hometowns. These are well-fortified positions and require a huge influx of fans to defeat through simulation.

Players will receive bonus fans every few turns based on the territory they've covered. Make a spiral around the hometown hex before moving on to enemy territory. Even then, hold off on fighting until getting a sizable squad.

7 Don't Simulate Unless The Game Is Already In The Bag

Though players can often tilt the odds in their favor in an overwhelming fashion, but even the most lopsided simulation has a chance to be a victory for the underdog. Players should beat the computer in a game before simulating most of the time.

Think of the simulation as a chance to speed up the inevitable. Assume that the simulation will be a loss. If the player can win after losing the simulation, then go ahead and take the chance. Until then, take the long road and play the games.

6 Don't Put Too Much Stock Into Reinforcement

Despite being an entire phase of the game, spending fans on defense is a waste. It's better to have a strong offense and the bare minimum on defense; one fan per square will do just fine.

Of course, a big, bad team could attack that square. If that happens, move the fans from offense to defense for a single round, squash the attack, and then go back. Or, better yet, simply play the game; fan advantage doesn't help in a non-simulated game.

5 Check The Goals

Nothing is more frustrating than winning in Conquest mode and technically losing. Sometimes players can defeat their opponents and find out later that the goal was to take more territory or steal a certain amount of fans.

Yes, these modes can be replayed again, but this is time-consuming. Especially when winning on longer maps, players will be able to accomplish any goal they want against battered and inferior opponents. Take the closing moments of the game and knock off the checklist.

4 Prey On The Weak

When left to their own devices, in a map with thirty opponents, the end of the game will often mean playing thirty opponents in every round. While it's possible and even likely to win this way, this is an ineffective use of the player's time.

Defeat struggling opponents before they can recover. Save the strongest opponent for last. Winning a one-on-one is much easier and faster than winning a thirty on one.

3 Cut Off Movement

Teams that can't move will lose the fans that are allotted by gaining territory. Even the strongest opponent can make the mistake of getting surrounded and then they will lose a battle of attrition.

Completely surround enemy territory and prevent further movement. Yes, they might try to attack, but, as mentioned earlier, reinforcement is not tough and thwarting this attempt to escape is as simple as winning a baseball game against the trapped foe.

2 Make It Dark

The default setting for these games is to play with clear and beautiful skies. But as pro gamers know, MLB The Show 21 is easier at night. The white ball clashing against the dark sky, making it easier to pick up.

Yes, it's easier to hit, which is the most obvious advantage, but don't forget about fielding, too. Infielders can get the right first step off of grounders and outfielders can see line drive more easily. The computer might not detect this advantage, but those with human eyes will appreciate the advantage.

1 Practice First

While this is a Diamond Dynasty sub-mode, the opposing teams are not put together digitally. These are real MLB rosters and, as such, can be played against in other settings in Diamond Dynasty.

Before taking on the LA Dodgers on All-Star difficulty, play the exact game for practice outside of Conquest mode. These practice sessions still yield experience and stubs, so it's not a waste of time. And having the assurance that the game can be won before it begins is invaluable.
