Mojang deserves high praises for their commitment to Minecraft. The game that doubles as a creativity tool has seen players use it to recreate locations from their favourite movies, and updates have slowly and steadily added and refined new biomes, new creatures, and new features for players to enjoy.
Alongside the gameplay updates and improvements, four obscure new trophies / achievements were recently added for players to unlock. This guide will help players unlock the 'With Our Powers Combined' trophy / achievement, which requires them to hold all three 'frog light' variations in their inventory at once.
How To Get A Frog
An adorable addition to Minecraft's animal collection, Frogs have a surprising amount of depth to their behaviors - even getting a frog of the desired color is more complicated than players may expect. In the wild, Frogs will only spawn in swamp and mangrove swamp biomes - players can use a lead to take frogs back to their base, but it may prove more efficient to breed the frogs and then steal their babies. To do so, players must:
- Find two frogs
- Feed them 1x slimeball each
- Follow the frogs to a water source
- Wait for the frogspawn to hatch - it can't be picked up, even with a silk touch pickaxe
- Use a bucket to scoop up the tadpoles that spawn
With the tadpoles safely tucked away in the player's bucket, they're then ready to move on to phase two of the plan - creating specific frogs. To create frogs of a specific color, players must:
FOR WHITE FROGS
- Find a 'warm' biome (Jungles, Deserts, Swamps, Warm Oceans, etc.)
- Put the tadpole in the biome's water
- Wait for it to become a frog or feed it several slimeballs until it becomes a frog
FOR GREEN FROGS
- Find a 'cold' biome (Mountains, Snowy Taiga, Cold Oceans, etc.)
- Put the tadpole in the biome's water (making sure it doesn't freeze)
- Wait for it to become a frog or feed it several slimeballs until it becomes a frog
FOR ORANGE FROGS
- Find a 'temperate' biome (Forests, Swamps, Plains, Hills, etc.)
- Put the tadpole in the biome's water
- Wait for it to become a frog or feed it several slimeballs until it becomes a frog
How To Get Froglights
There are three 'frog lights' in the game, and each one is tied to one of the three frog colors. It won't be easy, but to get the three froglights, players must make each type of frog eat the smallest version of a magma cube - yes, those magma cubes that spawn in the Nether. The following strategies are recommended:
- Putting a frog in a boat and slowly navigating it through the Nether
- Putting a frog on a lead and slowly taking it through the Nether
- Pushing the magma cube through a portal where a Frog waits on the other side
- Building a small room full of frogs in the Nether and luring magma cubes over to it
Players should be careful to avoid letting the froglight fall into any lava, too. When the player has one of each froglight in their inventory, the 'With Our Powers Combined' trophy / achievement will unlock.
