Additionally, it has been revealed at the Minecraft Live event that the game has conquered the world now that Minecraft is currently being played in every country and territory including Antarctica and the Vatican City. Of course, given the endless possibilities that players are allowed to do in the game, it is not surprising that many escaped to Minecraft during the pandemic. Not to mention, with strict stay-at-home orders being implemented everywhere, Minecraft's multiplayer mode has allowed players from all corners of the Earth to play together in a safe and fun environment.

Apart from providing players with a fun game to help players momentarily escape the problems of the world, Mojang revealed that the company has been helping with the fight against COVID-19. Earlier this year, Mojang released Minecraft face coverings and used royalties to donate 220,000 face masks. These face coverings were donated to the Boys and Girls Club of America, which have been distributed through clubs located in low-income areas across the US.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed at today's event that in Summer 2021, Minecraft will be receiving a Caves and Cliffs update that will introduce improvements to caves and cliffs, which has been requested by players for many years now. The massive update will bring variety to caves such as lush caves, dripstone caves, crystal geodes, and many more. Moreover, new creatures will be introduced such as the Warden, who is a hostile mob that players will find lurking in the caves, and the Axolotl, which is a cave-dwelling water creature that can aid players in battle.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
