The gaming community can be incredibly imaginative, often finding ways to use video games as a canvas for creativity. Minecraft is a game that allows for a certain amount of originality that is hard to deny, as the game is very much a sandbox experience that gives players the tools to create. Over a decade after its release, players are still creating in the world of Minecraft, and the most recent example of this is a gigantic Oreo cookie.

Whether it be the building of a famous landmark, the recreation of entire cities, or more, Minecraft players have long come together to make remarkable creations. Even outside of the game, players have been inspired, like building the Minecraft chest in real life. But sometimes there are things that are extra original. It perhaps takes a little bit of random and comical genius to think of making a humongous Oreo cookie inside of Minecraft.

Recently, Reddit user u/NomALlama uploaded their creation to r/Minecraft and it has captured the imagination of tens of thousands of Minecraft fans. u/NomALlama created a massive Oreo cookie with 46,727 pieces of concrete, a project that took about a week. Amazingly, this was done in Survival mode, meaning the player had to avoid enemies, had to mine for the concrete, and had to build the entire cookie brick by brick (or crumb by crumb). The upload came with eight images, and each of them shows the breadth of the delicious project.

Along with the amazing work, the comment section of the post is filled with comical content. u/NomALlama claims that they thought about tilting the Oreo cookie on its side and even making a massive white glass with a fog effect for milk. But mostly commenters joked about the fact that the project just seemed insane to take on, and u/NomALlama basically responds with "why not?" type answers, saying they haven't slept in days but may try a double stuffed project next. The Reddit post has over 26 thousand upvotes after just thirteen hours.

Oftentimes, creative Minecraft works result in jaw-dropping cathedrals, amazing recreations, and more. One could write an essay on why Minecraft may be the most impactful game of the past decade. Yet one dedicated fan spent a week in the game making a towering and almost ominous Oreo cookie of all things. But perhaps the magic of video games is the varying experiences they can provide.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
