Minecraft is a game that allows for some incredible creativity. Since the game's initial release in 2010, Minecraft players have been consistently looking for big builds that can show off what can be created with blocks. From humble beginnings in dirt houses in the game's survival mode, to huge recreations of settings from movies, TV shows, and other games, such as one Minecraft fan's creation of Bag End from Lord of the Rings, there's plenty of impressive builds to be found in Minecraft.

Now, a Minecraft player is showing off their pirate-themed creation. Ship builds and builds in the water are slightly rarer in Minecraft due to the inability for players to sail their large ship across the oceans. While a sprawling castle or recreation of a town can technically be used as a settlement, a ship is more of a stationary water home. Despite this, ship builds can still be seriously impressive, shown by one player creating the Black Pearl from the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

The Black Pearl is arguably the most iconic ship of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Once owned by renowned pirate Jack Sparrow, the ship falls under the control of Hector Barbossa, and has a crew full of undead pirates. Besides its literal skeleton crew, the Black Pearl is recognizable due to its distinctive black hull and sails, something which the Minecraft player captured perfectly in their build. It's clear the player is a fan of both the Minecraft and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises, as they put clear attention to detail in creating an accurate Black Pearl.

In the images posted by the Minecraft fan on Reddit, viewers were quick to spot the detail in their creation of the Black Pearl, alongside some other ships dotted around the background of the post. It seems this Minecraft player is building quite the navy, though what they will use this immobile force for is currently unknown. The largest ship in the fleet is the Dutchman, another nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise in the form of Davy Jones' ship.

This isn't the first time the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has made a cameo appearance in videogames though. Besides the Pirates of the Caribbean LEGO game, which takes players along the events of the movie trilogy, popular pirate title Sea of Thieves also received a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover. This crossover added new quests, and some incredible cosmetic ship sets.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
