It would be an understatement to say that Minecraft is huge. Not only does it have a massive audience, but its procedurally generated worlds are seemingly never-ending. From snowcapped mountains to lush jungles and everything in between, the amount of diversity in Minecraft is impressive. In addition to the numerous biomes in its worlds, the title includes another region known as the Nether.

The Nether is an alternate dimension in Minecraft accessible through a Nether Portal. Unlike the main world, this other dimension is quite inhospitable as it includes hazards such as fire, lava, and numerous hostile mobs. In order to make traversal easier while exploring this region, players often create Nether tunnels. These passageways help make traveling across the Nether safer and reduce the risk of getting lost along the way. Recently, one player decided to take the design of their tunnel to the next level.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as SpeedyK2003 shared a video of a recent creation they completed in Minecraft. According to the Reddit user, they decided to make a massive tunnel connecting one area of the Nether to a portal in another location. In the clip, they showed off how traversal worked by jumping in a boat and traveling down an ice road at high speed. The length of the build was incredibly long, as it took the creator over 30 seconds to reach the other end where a Nether Portal was located.

Besides being functional, the design of the Nether tunnel was aesthetically pleasing. The walls were made of stone with vines on the sides. In addition, the interior was lit by Glowstones that were strategically positioned throughout the build. Furthermore, the ceiling had a checkerboard green and purple color scheme, while buttons were added on the floor to spawn proof the design. All of these elements combined created an impressive scene as the player zoomed through the tunnel. SpeedyK2003 even included a music track in the background for comedic effect.

Since posting this impressive Nether tunnel creation on Reddit, numerous members of the Minecraft community have taken notice. With over 21.4K upvotes in only a couple of days, many were amazed by the length of the build. In addition, some gamers marveled at how long it took to make the tunnel. “Man placing all the wood that must have taken forever,” one person said.

This is just one of many unique builds players have created recently. In addition to this Nether tunnel, another fan recreated Mount Rushmore in Minecraft, except they replaced the famous presidents with popular mobs found in the game. Time will tell what incredible creations are made by talented gamers in the days ahead.

Minecraft is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
