A Minecraft player revealed their new project: a beautiful version of Minas Morgul from Lord of the Rings. With a lot of dedication and the help of a shader, the player reproduced one of several iconic locations from JRR Tolkien's work. After a Minecraft player created a giant pizza in the game, this new creation proves the great creativity of the community of players of Mojang's game.

Minecraft has a survival mode with RPG elements and exploration of a sandbox world with a look that immediately recalls LEGO blocks. While the survival mode is beloved by the community, what really attracts Minecraft players the most is the game's creative potential. With the help of the creative mode and hundreds of mods that add various features, Minecraft players are able to create just about anything they want within the game. And one Minecraft player, in particular, has brought into Mojang's world one of the locations from one of the most idolized works in the fantasy genre.

Redditor ImErik50 has posted on the Minecraft subreddit their version of Minas Morgul from Lord of the Rings. In Tolkien's work, the city was formerly called Minas Ithil and was a beautiful place illuminated by the silver light of the moon that made streets and houses seem to glow. Because it was very close to Mordor, the city was the target of many attacks, and in the Third Age the city turned into an evil place and its name changed to Minas Morgul, which in the language of Gondor means "Tower of Dark Sorcery." Minas Morgul is one of the Middle-Earth locales explored only in the games, specifically in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

In the images released by ImErik50, it is possible to see tall and imposing structures and a large bridge. The fact that the player took the images of their version of Minas Morgul at night further reinforces the resemblance to the original version. In the comments of the post, the player explained to a Redditor that to achieve the lighting effect they used Sildur's Vibrant Shaders. Shaders in Minecraft change the gameplay experience, and in this case, it is no different.

Minecraft was released in 2011 and although it is an "old game," Mojang's title has also kept up with the technological evolution of the video game industry. Minecraft mods that were initially already creative have gone on to add increasingly complex features in terms of gameplay and visuals, allowing the player to create complex structures like cities and train stations, or add physics to Minecraft and play Jenga. With so many creative possibilities, the Minecraft community of players remains active, and creative, and generates content that entertains and amazes.

Minecraft is currently available for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
