While one of the main challenges in Minecraft is to simply stay alive, players have gone far beyond merely surviving. For years, gamers have been coming up with many fun things to do in the procedurally generated worlds of the game. From building impressive structures to designing intriguing mini-games, there is no shortage of options available to those looking for a way to spend their time. Among the various activities, some enjoy making ice roads.

While ice can make traversal difficult when on foot in Minecraft, it becomes an effective means of transportation when using a boat. In fact, boats move much faster on ice than in water. With this in mind, many players have created ice roads to make traveling between different locations much quicker than walking. In addition, some have taken this building idea to the next level by making racetracks.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Qu1ntenR shared a video from a recent build project they had completed in Minecraft. However, this was no ordinary project as they had designed an incredible ice boat racetrack. The results of this build were nothing short of amazing. According to the creator, the course was named Neon Circuit and featured multiple vertical levels along with challenging turns. In the video, the Reddit user showed off the design by taking a spin around the course with a llama in tow for good measure.

Besides showing off the racetrack in a video, Qu1ntenR provided some details behind the building process. Remarkably, the entire project was completed in a Survival world, meaning that the creator had to gather all the resources for the racetrack. When all was said and done, it had taken them roughly a week to finish building the course. However, they revealed that it required several attempts to record a seamless lap through the racetrack.

Since posting this incredible ice boat racetrack to Reddit, numerous members of the Minecraft community have taken notice. With over 24.2K upvotes in only a few hours, many were blown away by the level of detail. Among the comments, a number of fans praised the verticality of the design, saying that it felt reminiscent of Mario Kart. In addition, many enjoyed that the creator had decided to place a llama in the backseat of the boat. “It’s the llama that do it for me,” auniquenameischosen said on Reddit.

While this racetrack is doubtlessly impressive, it is not the only build to use an ice boat. Several weeks ago, another gamer built an expansive ice road for their Nether Tunnel. It will be interesting to see what ice road creations Minecraft players come up with next. Perhaps, Qu1ntenR will decide to make even more racetracks following the popularity of their first build.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
