There are numerous mobs in Minecraft that players need to contend with while they are playing. Aside from the passive mobs such as villagers and animals, there are some challenging creatures that have become synonymous with the game. One Minecraft player paid special tribute to the most recognizable of these through an impressive creeper lighthouse.

Minecraft has become the best-selling video game of all time since its release over a decade ago. Creepers are common hostile mobs that explode after approaching players and have been a part of the game since the very beginning. With Creepers being so iconic, it is not too surprising that fans have paid tribute to them in various ways.

In this post, created by u/Jenguh, the Minecraft player shows off their incredible creation through a short GIF. What they have built here is a cross between a giant creeper statue and a functioning lighthouse. In the middle of a body of water, u/Jenguh started off this creation by building a creeper farm on an island. On top of this creeper farm, they decided to build up the island into the foundation of a traditional red and white lighthouse. About halfway up this massive structure, u/Jenguh transitions from that classic pattern to the green middle section and head of a creeper. To finish this build, the creeper has the top of the lighthouse sat on its head, and it has a functioning and rotating light. In all, there must be hundreds of blocks in this build,

There are two particularly impressive features within this impressive lighthouse: the creeper farm underneath and the impressive Redstone lighting. Creeper farms can take on a variety of different forms and, though this one may not represent the highest yield version, it apparently supplies u/Jenguh with plenty of gunpowder for their needs. The player's great use of Minecraft's Redstone lamps must also include Repeaters to create this Redstone circuit.

Creeper farms are a great way for players to get gunpowder in bunches and are proof of the ingenuity the Minecraft community has. By learning the spawn mechanics in the game and learning how to best take advantage of them, players unlock a new kind of game within Minecraft.

With that being said, farms can take away the need for players to have to gather and collect certain items in their world. Going after creepers and mastering encounters with these mobs can be an enjoyable experience. Either way, this player paid homage to the most recognizable mob from Minecraft in an impressive way.

Minecraft is available now on mobile devices, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
