One particularly artistic Minecraft fan has illustrated a handful of impressive tattoo concepts based on some of the mobs, blocks, and items found in Minecraft's Nether dimension. This selection of sketches shows off the artist's own unique creative spin on the Ghast, Wither Rose, Ancient Debris block, and Netherite Sword, along with a couple of other cool concepts.

Minecraft's Nether dimension is known by fans as the hellish opposite to the game's Overworld, and has been a part of Minecraft for over a decade. This spooky realm is full of lava, mysterious fortresses, and a whole roster of dangerous monsters, making it a fitting place to venture to throughout the Halloween season. The Nether even got an overhaul with its own update a few years back, introducing new biomes, monsters, and loot to the sunless realm.

Credit to the aforementioned artwork goes to the user killersim on Reddit, who recently posted it to the site. The post caught the eye of many in the Minecraft community, attracting heaps of praise and even leading some to ask for permission to get the tattoos for themselves. Many fans commented that they're eager to see more from the artist, suggesting a number of ideas for them to draw next.

The Nether update was just one of the major updates the game has seen in recent years, being followed up by the Caves and Cliffs updates, Wild Update, as well as an upcoming one which hasn't yet had its name revealed just yet. The Minecraft Live event that aired last weekend revealed an abundance of new information relating to the franchise, including several new features coming with the game's next update such as a new type of bamboo wood, hanging signs, camels, and more.

Though players have had mixed feelings towards Mojang's approach to announcing new information this year, Minecraft Live has surely given the fanbase a lot to be excited for, rekindling excitement for one of the gaming community's favorite titles. It's this kind of engagement that inspires talented fans to make creations such as these tattoo designs.

Minecraft has always been famed as a game centered around creating new things and sharing them with others, whether it be crazy builds, fantastic fan art, or even entire community maps and servers that anyone can enjoy. Whether players choose to brave the Nether's dark depths, build majestic creations or fight off the many dangers of the night, there's no question that it's the community's creativity that has kept Minecraft so alive for all these years.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One and legacy platforms.
