Minecraft was first made available to the public in 2009, introducing players to a vast procedurally generated world. In this world, players are challenged to survive and thrive by doing a number of tasks, such as fending off attacks from hostile mobs. Among these monsters often encountered in the game are Creepers.

As one of the oldest mobs found in Minecraft, Creepers are well-known among gamers for their propensity to explode. These green-colored monsters sneak up on players attempting to get as close as possible before exploding, causing numerous buildings and players to meet an untimely demise. While these creatures are potentially dangerous, they drop gunpowder and occasionally music discs, making them a valuable target to hunt down while exploring. Recently, one gamer recreated this mob in a uniquely edible way.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as TheMayorOfRightHere shared a picture of a collection of unusual snacks they had prepared for their 9-year-old child. What made these snacks noteworthy was that they were made to look like things seen in Minecraft. Of particular note was a plate full of treats that resembled the famous Creeper seen in the game. In order to replicate the look of the hostile mob, TheMayorOfRightHere used Rice Krispies Treats and added roughly 10 drops of green food coloring. In addition, they used black icing to make the recognizable frowny faces of the Creepers.

However, this was not the only monster from the game that TheMayorOfRightHere decided to make into an appetizing snack. They also made Ghasts out of marshmallows and pretzel sticks. Furthermore, they made several items seen in the game, such as Golden Apples, Grass Blocks, and Torches. They even made Slime Blocks out of green-colored jello.

These impressive snacks created by TheMayorOfRightHere caught the attention of numerous members of the Minecraft community on Reddit. With over 35,900 upvotes in less than a day, gamers were impressed with the designs. In addition, many liked that the parent decided to make the snacks for their child. “Whoever you are, you’re an awesome parent for making the effort,” one person commented. Furthermore, others were inspired to make these snacks for their own kids.

It is exciting to see fans make impressive culinary creations based on popular video game franchises. Besides these Minecraft snacks prepared by TheMayorOfRightHere, a Pokemon fan recently made Darumaka hot chocolate bombs to celebrate the new year. With so many interesting characters in gaming, it will be interesting to see what other edible creations talented fans come up with next.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
