The past week has been huge for Minecraft creations and creators, with many players posting clips and screenshots of their incredible creations. In a game limited only by a player's creativity, amazing pieces of art or science are inevitable as players figure out more interesting or efficient ways to accomplish goals.

However, in a week defined by players' creations in-game, such as a fully functional Minecraft chess board, one player decided to show off their real-life crafting skills. The result was an impressive yet terrifying rendition of one of the game's most popular enemies.

Reddit user spaghetti-memeballs was the creator of the sculpture, posting an image to the Minecraft subreddit. The image captures a small sculpture made entirely of polymer clay that is instantly recognizable as the game's creeper enemy. Already one of the most feared mobs in Minecraft, this hyper realistic clay model depicted what creepers might look like were they real, and the result was terrifying.

The attention to detail on the model was what really brought out the horrifying realism. Its eyes are small and red, and are sunk far into its face. Its mouth contains large deformed teeth and even a tongue can be seen. Its head is huge and smoothed out, making for a strange cross between blocky and misshapen. Spaghetti-memeballs even gave the creeper an emaciated look using what look like ribs poking out of its sides. Compared to an artist's beautiful rendition of a Minecraft mooshroom, spaghetti-memeballs' creeper looks like the creation of a mad scientist in a decrepit laboratory.

Other Reddit users absolutely hated the sculpture, but in a good way, congratulating spaghetti-memeballs on their horrifying creation. One user jokingly thanked spaghetti-memeballs for their art while simultaneously saying they hated it. Another user stated they are very happy the creepers don't look like the sculpture, as they are already terrifying enough. Yet another user was impressed at how the creeper sculpture looked very much like the slimer ghost from Ghostbusters. The sculpture's strongest aspect was the terror it instilled in Minecraft players, earning respect from those who still had nightmares about a loud hiss followed by a huge explosion.

As stated, this past week has been particularly huge for Minecraft creations, yet still users are creating Borderlands scenes in the Minecraft style and other impressive creations. The game demands creativity and ingenuity from players, but while players have been creating art in Minecraft, others like spaghetti-memeballs have been inspired to create beautiful - or in this case terrifying - works of art in the real world.

Minecraft is available now on mobile devices, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
