A Minecraft player has noticed something that cannot be unseen when it comes to the new camel mob, namely that there appears to be a face hidden in the animal's snout. After all these years, there's still interesting things to see in the game. Admittedly, this one is based on a brand-new addition from Mojang, but it's still a very popular IP in general, with much of its success owing to the fact that the game's longevity is one of its greatest strengths.

The camel mob is getting added to Minecraft soon, along with the new bookshelf block and some new skins. The developer clearly has a vested interest in keeping its lucrative property in tiptop shape, implementing new features and changing things up to keep fans interested. But it's nice to see that, after well over a decade, there are still reasons to return to the game. Sometimes those reasons involve a little, perhaps unintended, Easter egg.

Reddit user Hepp96YT happened upon this detail when images of the upcoming Minecraft camel began doing the rounds, noticing that the nose of the animal has a pattern that looks very much like a face. Even at a cursory glance, it's not hard to see that the nostrils look like eyes, and the camel's mouth forms part of this hidden face's mouth. There's even a dark patch just below the eyes that could easily be interpreted as a nose. Indeed, once seen, the Reddit user insists it cannot be unseen. One person in the comments said it looks like the face of a cat, while another has said a similar optical illusion can be seen in the game's llama mobs.

This little piece of pixelated image shifting may seem small, but it's just one of many ways fans get joy out of Mojang's sandbox title. Minecraft is known for its roster of mobs, some of which have been retired over the years. It's all the enemies and critters, farm animals, and villagers that make the game so interesting. Otherwise, the player would be wandering around an expansive landscape truly alone.

With the Minecraft mob vote results now out and the Sniffer winning out over the Rascal and Ruff Golem, even more NPCs are being added to the already pretty expansive list of in-game creatures. It's interesting to see the game still as popular as ever, despite how old it is now. Then again, given the sheer creativity that players can unleash, as well as the new features the developer consistently keeps adding, it's not surprising people are still playing after all this time.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
