Netflix has revealed a new cache of images from Mike Flanagan's upcoming series The Midnight Club. The series, based on the work of young adult horror series writer Christopher Pike, is set to debut this fall with some of Flanagan's favorites from past projects set to star in new roles.

The photos on Netflix's Twitter account show Flanagan faves Rahul Kohli, Samantha Sloyan, and Zach Gilford in The Midnight Club. If you recall, Gilford played the main protagonist Riley Flynn in Midnight Mass, a sleepy seaside town's prodigal son struggling with both his own faith and the possibility that the entire town may be overrun with vampires. In the same Netflix show, Kohli and Sloyan played the excellent rivals Sheriff Hassan and church mouse villain Bev Keane.

Director Flanagan, known for previous work for Netflix like The Haunting Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manner, and last year's hit Midnight Mass, is known for casting the same names repeatedly in many of his projects. The Midnight Club looks to be no different, with some fan favorites sliding into brand-new parts. Sloyan, who had a smallish role in The Haunting of Hill House as well, is particularly one to watch out for, as her role as Bev Keane in Midnight Mass posited her as one of the most disturbing villains ever in a Flanagan project. Kohli is also a delight to see again after a previous appearance in The Haunting of Bly Manner. All three actors, according to IMDB, are set to appear in Flanagan's other upcoming Netflix project, The Fall of the House of Usher.

The Midnight Club centers around a group of teens living in Brightcliffe Hospice, a facility for the terminally ill. A group of them vow to meet every night at midnight to tell scary stories, setting up the show for an anthology framework that is sure to be terrifying. Strange things begin to happen in the hospital itself after the death of one of their own.

With their amazing performances in Midnight Mass, there’s no doubt that fans old and new alike will love seeing these actors in their new roles in The Midnight Club. Flanagan has a knack for excellent casting and eliciting great performances on the part of his actors, Given past roles, fans can only assume these three will bring their A-game once again to the new series.

The Midnight Club begins streaming on Netflix on October 7, 2022.
