Microsoft reveals how many Xbox Game Pass subscribers there are, confirming that its game subscription service is doing very well. There are new games added to Xbox Game Pass each month such as sci-fi game Deliver Us The Moon which was added last week.

On Twitter, Frank X. Shaw, the communications lead at Microsoft, confirmed that there are now "more than" 10 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Shaw revealed the numbers as he was talking about Microsoft's financials in Q3 of the financial year. He also said that Xbox has seen "record engagement" and that there are nearly 90 million monthly active Xbox Live subscribers.

It's unclear how many of these Xbox Game Pass subscribers were added in the last quarter as more people are at home because of COVID-19. Disney has also said that it now has millions of Disney Plus subscribers and this is largely because people are looking for new ways to have fun. Subscription services that offer huge lists of games to play and movies to watch at an affordable price are one of the easiest ways to do that.

Microsoft will also be very happy with this as it has been trying to get more people to subscribe to its services as this can make much more money over time than a single purchase. The company is planning to offer an Xbox All Access pass for the Xbox Series X, to make the console more affordable. If it can get people subscribed to Xbox Game Pass too that could get players spending more and make them less likely to buy other consoles and pay for other services.
