Microsoft Rewards gives the company a chance to give back to its player base on both Xbox and PC for their dedication to gaming. Through extensive gameplay and ruthless achievement hunting, a gamer can enter sweepstakes and gain multiple other rewards simply for playing games. Last year, Microsoft Rewards offered players a chance to win a free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership for life.
Competitions like the previously mentioned membership for life cost 200 points for an Xbox or PC player to enter, so a reward like getting free Xbox Game Pass for life is no small gift. Xbox Game Pass offers anything from recent AAA hits like Mass Effect Legendary Edition to indie games to classic games. Now, it seems Microsoft is giving Xbox and PC players a simple way to earn points. Though the method will only give players around 250 points maximum, these points can be earned daily.
To access these easy, daily reward points, an Xbox or PC player must log into the Xbox app, not to be confused with the Xbox Game Pass app, and navigate to their profile. There, a player will see an option entitled "Earn Rewards," followed by a multitude of daily quests and activities to do. Some activities are as simple as tapping to play a game, or even use the Xbox app, which will earn the player five points just for finding the page to earn rewards.
So far, Xbox is only trialing this method of earning free reward points, so it may not be available in specific regions as yet. At the moment, it is reported that the latest trials are reaching out to UK audiences for free reward points. The players who have been able to access the "Earn Rewards" page have found the easiest points are earned in the "Play with friends on PC" quest, which only requires a player to spend around 10 minutes playing a game such as Forza Horizon 5 or Call of Duty: Warzone to earn their points. Considering the "Play with friends" quests will net players 100 points each daily, these seem like the quickest way to earn reward points fast.
With hundreds of points being available daily, a player could earn thousands of points over months even if they don't log in every day. Though, it is important to remember that Microsoft is labeling this a "temporary experience," so the trial is subject to change as time goes on.
