Microsoft Flight Simulator may not be the most anticipated release of 2020, but when it comes to visuals it's certainly comparable to anything coming from next-gen consoles. Despite being in alpha, every look at Microsoft Flight Simulator shows just how much it has improved. The latest example, a series of new alpha screenshots, proves just that.

The screenshots were provided by Microsoft Flight Simulator alpha testers. That's why each screenshot has the screenshot taker's name emblazoned in watermarks. The alpha testers send their screenshots to the Microsoft Flight Simulator team for approval, as their NDAs prevent them from being shared publically.

Each of the screenshots shows a unique setting or situation from Microsoft Flight Simulator. There are screenshots from airports, snowy fields, mountain ranges, grassy tracks, and even somewhere hard to discern due to heavy clouds and rainfall. And each of the screenshots also comes from a different angle, whether it be inside the plane, above it, or all askew. The range of screenshots truly captures the joy of flying.

The development of Microsoft Flight Simulator continues to progress. In its latest update, the team even provided a "Wish List" of features it's considering. The list includes AI traffic that can be seen on roads, helicopters to fly, season changes, and most of all third-party content. None of these features are promised, but that the team is considering them is exciting. Stay tuned for more Microsoft Flight Simulator news soon.
