Anyone that tuned in for Nintendo’s E3 2017 showcase learned that Metroid is back in a big way, with two new games en route for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS, respectively. There’s no question that Metroid Prime 4 stole a lot of thunder during the main conference, but Nintendo was quick to follow up on that reveal with news that another, side-scrolling iteration, Metroid: Samus Returns, would be hitting its 3DS console later this September. Evidently, the company wasn’t done there.

The Japanese gaming publisher then proceeded to tweet out images of a special edition Metroid: Samus Returns bundle that will be made available this year. The SKU itself seems rather light, opting to include a copy of the aforementioned game and a CD featuring music from the title. Admittedly, this isn’t all that exciting of a Collector’s Edition, but it makes for a nice option for the more dedicated Metroid fans out there.

Those hoping to catch a glimpse of the limited edition version of Metroid: Samus Returns can do so below:

As of this writing, the above option is without a price, but Nintendo appears to be treating the Metroid II: Return of Samus remake with the fanfare that gamers would have expected. If music isn’t one’s beat, then the pair of Samus Returns amiibo should make for nice bonuses to grab alongside the game as well. With all of the excitement surrounding the triumphant resurgence of the Metroid franchise, it remains to be seen just how far Nintendo will go in order to promote the beloved IP in the months ahead.

Even then, fans can rest easy knowing that the firm is off to a damn good start, though.
