Spin Boost is an upgrade in Metroid Dread that players will unlock in the Ghavoran area. It gives Samus the ability to make an additional, mid-air jump, allowing her to reach new heights and cross larger gaps underwater. That said, some fans may find themselves stuck after picking up the Spin Boost in Metroid Dread, and this guide is here to provide details on exactly how to move forward.

Metroid Dread: Spin Boost Stuck Solutoin

The first thing that a player should do after obtaining the Spin Boost is use the ability to enter the Morph Ball Shoot at the top-right corner of the room. This Shoot will ultimately drop Metroid Dread fans off underwater, and here they will need to Spin Boost across a gap in order to reach the left side of the room. While the timing that is needed to land this maneuver can be somewhat tricky, players that are patient should be able to make this underwater jump.

After clearing the gap, fans should jump up and into the very narrow passageway that leads to the right, using Metroid Dread’s Morph Ball and Bombs to clear the way. In the next room, players should head down, left, and back up, entering the yellow door that is directly below the green dot door. They should then continue traveling downward, fight the mini-boss, and go into the save room that is on the left once the foe has been slain.

From there, players should exit the room to the left, use the Spider Magnet ability in Metroid Dread to grab onto the blue wall, and then use the organic platforms to climb. The goal here is to reach an EMMI door that is near the top-left corner of this vertical room, and fans will encounter a jump that is a bit difficult right before it. More specifically, players must perform a Spin Jump, let themselves fall slightly to avoid a hanging environmental element, and then Spin Boost up to the door.

Fans should now make their way across the first EMMI room, use Metroid Dread's Grapple Beam to enter a second room, and then exit through the EMMI door at the top-left corner. Players will then need to perform one more tricky underwater Spin Boost in order to clear a gap, and they can climb up to the next part of the EMMI area when that has been executed successfully. While there are, of course, more steps to take from this position, this instruction should be enough to get fans going again.

Metroid Dread is available now on Switch.
