Though it may not have quite as many tanks as some of the other regions in Metroid Dread, Burenia is a great place to increase Samus' maximum health and missiles. Four of the twelve Missile Tanks found in the area are Missile+ Tanks, meaning that players can expand their missile capacity by as many as 56: a total that only the Artaria region can best.

Not only that, but players can also increase Samus' maximum health by two and a half tanks of energy while exploring the region, which should come in handy when up against some of Metroid Dread's more challenging foes like Experiment No. Z-57 and the game's final boss, Raven Beak. There's also a single Power Bomb Tank up for grabs in Burenia, though players won't be able to get to it until quite far into the game.

Burenia's second Energy Tank can be reached by using either the Grapple Beam or the Flash Shift to grab onto the blue wall above the pitfall blocks and then crawling through the nearby Morph Ball tunnel.

Energy Tank #3

Players will need to defeat Escue and unlock the Storm Missile before they can claim Energy Tank number three. After doing so, they'll simply need to target the 5 green lights with missiles and then jump up to collect the tank.

Energy Tank #4 (Energy Part)

The final Energy Tank in Burenia can be accessed via a tunnel on the right side of the room containing the green teleporter. Players will just need to kill a few Enki (the strange fire plants) with Ice Missiles in order to reach it.

Every Missile Tank in Burenia

Missile Tank #1

To get to Burenia's first Missile Tank, players should shoot the two hidden blocks with Samus' arm canon before they enter the tunnel. Attempting to destroy them with Morph Ball bombs instead will lead to Samus falling into the water down below.

Missile Tank #2

Missile Tank number two is hidden behind a red missile block in the location shown in the image above.

Missile Tank #3 (Missile+)

Players can collect Burenia's third Missile Tank either by falling down to it from above or using the Space Jump to get to it from a platform on the right side of the area.

Missile Tank #4 (Missile+)

To reach the fourth Missile Tank, players should grab onto the blue surface over to the right and then use Flash Shift to move left. Without stepping onto the pitfall blocks to the left of the yellow platform, they'll then need to destroy a hidden block with a missile and Flash Shift left again to climb into the newly accessible tunnel.

Missile Tank #5

Players can reach Missile Tank number five by using the Grapple Beam to attach to the nearby ceiling and then climbing across.

Missile Tank #6

Rather than heading left to continue on with the main story, players should instead explore the area to the right of the large device. There's a hidden block there that can be destroyed with a rocket, behind which Burenia's sixth Missile Tank is hidden.

Missile Tank #7 (Missile+)

After collecting Energy Tank #4 (see above), players should run through the door to activate the Speed Booster and then store Samus' momentum by flicking the left analog stick down. As quickly as possible, they'll then need to head through the door beneath them, slide through the gap and shoot the blocks directly beneath them. Before touching the ground, they should activate Samus' Shinespark ability so that she hits the side of the slope and then quickly press ZL to slide under another wall. As they approach the edge, players will again need to store Samus' momentum and then drop down without touching the blue wall. Just like the last slope, players should activate Shinespark so that Samus runs into the side of it, which will allow them to pull the analog stick down once more as they reach the top. From there, it's a simple case of dropping down and activating Shinespark one final time to destroy the orange blocks and claim the Missile Tank that lies behind them.

Missile Tank #8

After obtaining the Gravity Suit, players will be able to collect Missile Tank number eight from the room beneath where they defeated Drogyga a little earlier on.

Missile Tank #9

With the Gravity Suit equipped, players should head to the bottom of the underwater section and then run until they activate the Speed Booster. After that, they'll need to store Samus' momentum by flicking the left analog stick down and then fire her directly upwards from the center of the chamber using her Shinespark ability.

Missile Tank #10

Players will be able to collect the tenth Missile Tank from the west side of the underwater section once they've found the Gravity Suit.

Missile Tank #11

metroid-dread-burenia-missile-tank-11

Burenia's penultimate Missile Tank is in the area between the elevator down to Artaria and the nearby Save Room, though players will need the Screw attack to reach it.

Missile Tank #12 (Missile+)

The final Missile Tank in Burenia also requires the Screw Attack. Players should use it to exit the water in the southeastern corner of the region and will then find the tank on a platform surrounded by blue Screw Attack blocks. If they keep following the path upwards, they'll eventually discover an optional boss fight with the Twin Robot Chozo Soldiers.

Every Power Bomb Tank in Burenia

Power Bomb Tank #1

Burenia's sole Power Bomb Tank can be found at the most southerly point of the region. To collect it, players will first need to destroy an orange block with a Power Bomb and should then run towards the hole to activate the Speed Booster. Just before reaching the wall, they'll need to store Samus' momentum by pulling the left analog stick down and then roll into the tunnel. After going as far as possible, they should activate Shinespark and aim Samus to the right. This will destroy the three orange blocks and allow players to collect the tank.
