With the release of Metal Gear Survive, there was been some controversy surrounding the game itself with the likes of players paying for more saves in game. No matter how fans look at it, Metal Gear Survive has fans talking and playing the game.

One new feature in Metal Gear Survive is skills related to certain classes. Players could think this similar to specialist skills from previous Metal Gear games. These new skills are key to surviving and taking down enemies. Players will start out with a limited pool of skills, but as the game progresses, players will be able to branch out and gain more of these skills.

There are plenty of skills to choose from, but some of the best and most beneficial are as follows:

Thrust Combo is crucial towards the beginning of the game. Players will likely see their first weapon in Metal Gear Survive be a spear. This skill will help players do more damage with the spear as they are poking around fences looking for enemies. Another good skill to acquire is Dive Attack. Dive Attack allows players to drop attack on enemies from above. This comes in handy when players are attempting to take out Wanderers quickly or are still searching for a bow.

The CQC Counter is also very useful. Melee attacks aren’t always the route to go when engaging in combat, but if this happens, players must be ready to parry the attacks. This skill will give players a quick time event and the timing is crucial to stay alive. Looting is a huge part of Metal Gear Survive so doing so quickly is imperative and getting the Quick Hands skill will help players loot enemies and animals quickly, keeping them on the move.

Last, but not least, is the Leg Sweep skill. This particular skill allows players to trip Wanderers when crouching. When looking for a quick escape from a bad situation, this can be vital to do so.

Players can choose any of these skills to learn or increase the ones they already have, as both as useful tactics in the game. These five skills, however, seem to be serving players well early on in the game, so it seems to be beneficial to hone in one these skills first. In doing this, players should be able to take down zombie soldiers faster and with more ease.

Metal Gear Survive is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
