Metal Gear Solid is a game series that has been through some tough times ever since Hideo Kojima was removed from the development process. Konami tried to move forward with Metal Gear Survive, but was met with severe backlash.

Fans have been skeptical about what Konami should do moving forward now in a Hideo Kojima-lacking Metal Gear Solid era. It now seems that instead of making a whole new game, the series is going to take a different approach entirely.

Notable videogame fact leaker Moore's Law is Dead posted a video on YouTube stating that the company Bluepoint Games will move forward with developing a Metal Gear Solid Remake.

Moore's Law is Dead goes on to state that the remake of Metal Gear Solid has actually already been in development for three years. Apparently, the game also features similar controls to Metal Gear Solid V, which many fans of the series praised for its unique take on gameplay mechanics, so it may be a welcome take on the game.

Moore's Law is Dead also claims that Mark Cerny has also been involved in the process at some capacity, speculating that it was developed alongside the Demon's Souls remake. Moore's Law is Dead has been correct in the past, after correctly leaking the God of War Ragnarok a year before its release. Considering this, there is a strong possibility that Moore's Law is Dead is also right about this information.

Luckily, there is other information besides Moore's Law is Dead's video that could legitimize this claim. A hidden Easter Egg in the Demon's Souls remake has a hidden sound byte in The Nexus that many fans suggest sounds incredibly similar to Metal Gear Rex from Metal Gear Solid. The alleged developer, Bluepoint Games, also tweeted out a somewhat cryptic tweet a year ago before the announcement of the Demon's Souls remake. The company wished its followers a happy Halloween while ending the tweet saying its fans should have a 'metal Halloween.'

As nice as it would be to imagine, fans also need to consider the possibility that this may just be a rumor and may never happen, before they get their hopes up. While there are a lot of possibilities hinting towards it being true, there is nothing factual that has been said by either Konami or Bluepoint Games at this present moment. Hopefully, some type of new installment will come out soon that fans will enjoy.
