Over twenty years after Metal Gear Solid first premiered, and a few year break since the latest entry in the series, the cast of the original title is preparing to come together for a special reunion. However, Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter may have already let the cat out of the bag for the pre-recorded reunion and the exact members of the cast that came back together.

Naturally, getting the entire cast of the whole series wouldn't have necessarily been possible, considering the huge roster of characters to appear in Metal Gear Solid. Even so, many of the higher profile voices from throughout the series, Hayter included, appear to have come together to celebrate the series as a whole, rather than any specific title in particular.

The Metal Gear Solid reunion special was previously announced earlier this month by Sniper Wolf voice actress Tasia Valenza, who had gone to twitter to reveal part of the cast that would be appearing. Alongside Valenza and Hayter, the reunion seems to have drawn in thirteen more cast members, including Otacon voice actor Christopher Randolph and Liquid Snake voice actor Cam Clarke. Altogether, the reunion itself has a star studded cast that will likely be a welcome experience to longtime fans of the Metal Gear series.

Unfortunately, it would appear that Hayter was a little light on some of the finer details of the reunion, such as whether or not this special panel is to celebrate the anniversary or event going on with any specific title in the series. Fans are also still in the dark on when the recording that this reunion was done and will be available to watch or listen to, with Hayter simply saying that more details will be coming soon. Whatever the event is being planned for, there's been a serious lack in quality Metal Gear Solid content moving forward, so seeing the original cast together to celebrate the better times for the series may be just what fans need.

Some fans are already wondering if this reunion might be pointing at something bigger, possibly in the realm of an announcement for a new or remastered title from the dormant series. However, it's much more likely that this isn't necessarily intended to be setting up for anything coming in the future and more likely simply looking back at key moments in Metal Gear history. Considering how long many of these voice actors worked on the series, they likely had plenty to talk about when limited to their own experiences with the series.
