About several months ago, the Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain actress Stefanie Joosten appeared to tease her involvement in the upcoming Death Stranding after she posted a series of photos on social media, only to then say that she wasn't apart of the project at that time. While the Dutch model, singer, and thespian may or may not wind up being in the director's forthcoming game, fans of her character in MGS5 – that is, the Diamond Dog defect known as Quiet – will now at least be able to play as the scantily clad assassin in FOB missions.

This feature comes by way of a new and unexpected patch for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, as the last update that officially dropped for the open world stealth-action title came in August of last year. With Quiet now playable in FOB missions, players can take advantage of abilities like her steady hands while aiming and firing, as well as her quick movement speed. Speaking of which, she will be able to use her agility to get to high places fast or dash toward an enemy to take them down. Plus, Quiet has an additional stealth element of being able to turn invisible after staying completely still for a certain amount of time.

In addition to being able to play as Quiet in FOB missions, the latest update for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain also added several other features to the FOB missions mode. For starters, the patch offers access to new gadgets like the Dark Matter Generator, Energy Wall, as well as two new variants of the Renov-Ickx sniper rifle.

What's more is that there's also a new difficulty level in the Event FOBs game mode. While the new hard mode in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain may be challenging for some, finishing the mission offers the main reward of the opponent that one invaded not being able to invade the successful player back when they log in.

Taking all of this into consideration, there's no doubt that many who own the Hideo Kojima-directed Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will use this update as an excuse to dive back into what many considered to be one of the best games of 2015 once again. With the patch having also provided some minor fixes as well, there's a chance that the title could play even better this time around, too.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
