With plenty of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain fans surely playing what has been dubbed the Definitive Experience of the title, which includes the base game and all of its post-launch release DLC, Konami has decided to refine the game even more so. As it so happens, the video game publisher and developer is set to provide an August update for the stealth-action title that will include a few new features, including swimsuits for characters and the ability to play as Revolver Ocelot in Forward Operating Base missions.

Although Revolver Ocelot will not be able to be customized by Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain fans, he will come with some unique perks to make him even more desirable, such as having slightly better camouflage, as well as faster reload and weapon draw times. Furthermore, Ocelot has the ability to dual-wield pistols and can even use ricochet bullets on marked enemies to take them out with a flair all his own.

The forthcoming Metal Gear Solid 5 update will also include several new swimsuits for Forward Operating Base staff – which can be seen in the gallery above – and they can wear them while defending one's base or while attacking enemies. Not to mention, Diamond Dog soldiers will also receive two new outfits known as Megalodon suits that will increase movement speed.

In addition to a playable Revolver Ocelot and fresh swim gear for FOB staff, the Metal Gear Solid 5 update also employs an added functionality for the Wormhole Generator, with the item now being able to automatically extract players out of critical situations. Plus, it can no longer be removed by opponents, and is much harder to destroy.

As many Metal Gear Solid 5 fans will likely attest, this update to the game comes as somewhat of a surprise, as the last update was applied during August of last year. Interestingly enough, Konami has dated the availability for all of the aforementioned contents for the stealth-action title as coming next month, on August 1, 2017. So, taking all of this into consideration, it's good to see the company still providing content for one of the top 10 games of 2015 nearly two years after its initial launch.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
