Every decade has a solid crop of horror movies, and there are some films that stand out for having particularly interesting and creepy quotes. From serial killers and villains talking about their evil plans to main characters trying to understand the situation at hand (or inject some humor into the situation), these pieces of dialogue tell the story as much as the death scenes and plot twists. These quotes make people think long and hard about the themes of each movie.

From a perfect line in Scream 3 to a quote about death in the first movie in the beloved Final Destination franchise, there are many quotes from 2000s horror films that fans love.

William Bludworth Talks About Death In Final Destination (2000)

"In death there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps, and no escapes."

William Bludworth (Tony Todd) in Final Destination

The Final Destination franchise is one of the coolest, most creative, and most fun, and the first movie is a timeless 2000s horror film. Alex Browning's (Devon Sawa) prediction that he will die on a plane ride to Paris is still eerie and Tony Todd's character William Bludworth has an incredible and memorable quote that fans still recall.

The character runs Bludworth Funeral Homes and he explains that when Death decides that it wants to end someone's life, that's it, and no one can do anything about it. Since the theme of the movie is about accepting fate and coming to terms with death, this quote works even better.

Sidney Jokes About Ghostface In Scream 3 (2000)

"Oh you know the usual small talk. 'What's new?' 'How you been?' 'How do you wanna die?'"

Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) in Scream 3

There are some great quotes in every Scream movie, and in Scream 3, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) explains that Ghostface has phoned her this time around. Sidney makes a joke that shows that she's smart enough to see that she's in the same situation yet again but she hasn't lost her sense of self, personality, and love of joking around.

Sidney's interactions with the Ghostface killers is fascinating as she is often frustrated with how silly and stupid she thinks that they are. Sidney's quote is so memorable because she knows that Ghostface is still after her and that she has to make some jokes and keep her wits about her so she can get through this difficult and horrifying time.

Rachel Keller Realizes The Horrors Of The Ring (2002)

"I think before you die, you see the ring..."

A girl from the well Samara in 2002 The Ring

There are some lackluster 2000s horror films, but The Ring has so many excellent elements: the killer videotape, the characters, and of course, the villain Samara with her long black hair and eerie face. As Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) gets deeper into the story of the video that kills people seven days after they watched it, she realizes how terrible it is to be part of that club.

When Rachel says that people "see the ring" prior to death, it's hard to think of a more alarming and shocking quote from the film, as she gets right to the point about exactly what's going to happen.

Jigsaw Talks To Adam In Saw (2002)

"Rise and shine, Adam. You're probably wondering where you are. I'll tell you where you might be. You might be in the room that you die in."

Adam (Leigh Whannell) in Saw

John Kramer is the Jigsaw killer in the first three Saw movies, and Tobin Bell's tortures Adam Stanheight (Leigh Whannell) as Adam lies in a bathroom with no idea what's going to happen next. Jigsaw is incredibly terrifying and just might win as the villain from any slasher franchise who people need to be most afraid of.

With this memorable quote, Jigsaw lets Adam know that he's not playing around and that he might kill Adam soon. The horrible game is about to begin and Adam is quickly realizing that life as he knows it might be completely over.

John Says A Creepy Line In The Last House In The Left (2009)

"It's the last house on the left if case you forgot."

John (John Goldwyn) and Emma (Monica Potter) in The Last House On The Left (2009)

In the 2009 remake of the 1972 film, a group of people murder Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton), and her parents Dr. John (Tony Goldwyn) and Emma (Monica Potter) go after the killers and make their lives miserable.

in one scene, Emma and John are driving toward the house where they will be for a vacation, and John says this unforgettable line about where the home is located. The 1972 original is one of Wes Craven's best movies and the remake is just as hard to watch. Both films tell an absolutely devastating family story as the parents want nothing more than to save their daughter and if they can punish the people who hurt her, they will stop at nothing to do so.
