Megan Fox has revealed her dream role in a video game adaptation while doing a press tour in support of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

Between Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Megan Fox has managed to land leading roles in some major big screen adaptations of beloved properties. However, the actress never appeared in a movie based on a video game — although she knows exactly which role she’s looking out for.

Fox was quizzed about potential superhero characters that she might play while doing press for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. She responded by saying that no superheroes stood out to her, but one leading lady from a major video game property did, according to a report from

If Fox had her way, she would be playing the deadly Kitana in a future Mortal Kombat movie. The Jennifer’s Body star reportedly noted that she has “always loved her fans and the blades” while putting herself forward as a possible contender for the role.

Kitana was introduced in 1993’s Mortal Kombat II and has been a staple character for the franchise ever since. The princess of Edenia was played by Talisa Soto in the first attempt to bring the series to the big screen, although her character wasn’t anywhere as prominent in the movie as she has been in the games.

It seems likely that Mortal Kombat will return to the multiplex sooner rather than later. During the early stages of planning for last year’s Mortal Kombat X, the word was that the game was being scheduled to tie-in with a feature film adaptation that seemingly fell through.

However, there have been rumblings that the project was going ahead with different personnel since that time. Indeed, the massive success of Mortal Kombat X should help convince studio heads that another movie based on the franchise would be able to draw an audience.

The biggest question is whether or not Fox would be able to secure the role of Kitana. She’s found great success while working with director and producer Michael Bay, but suffered a few flops without him — if Bay were to take on the project, her chance of appearing would be very good indeed.

However, there may well be an even better choice for Kitana waiting in the wings. If you have an actress in mind who could do the role justice, let us know about it in the comments section below.

Mortal Kombat X is available now for PlayStaion 4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.
