It's been a while seen we've seen Megan Fox in a blockbuster film. However, with her career poised for a revival, it's only a matter of time before she stars in another major hit like Transformers, and if fans had it their way, she'd be cast in the DCEU as a classic Batman villain: Poison Ivy.

In a recent interview with the Washington Post, Fox revealed that she would love to be a part of a major comic book film franchise, adding that she's had a lifelong appreciation for the stories. A stint with Marvel or DC would not only be a great next step for her career, but it would also help her get back to her roots as an action star. Soon after her revelation, the internet went wild with all sorts of dream castings and fan art for the actress, but ultimately, it was Poison Ivy who dominated the trending discussions on Twitter.

The general consensus among fans is that Fox would be best suited to play Poison Ivy, given her sultriness and witty personality. The thought of Fox sharing the screen with Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn in a future DCEU title is another selling point for the idea, as the two actresses would make for a powerhouse on-screen duo. But perhaps the most convincing reason for the casting comes in the form of a digital render of Fox as Poison Ivy that went viral on social media, and it looks absolutely incredible. It's very reminiscent of Uma Thurman's version from 1997.

A Fox/Robbie collaboration is not a totally farfetched possibility. Earlier this year, Robbie said she has been working hard to convince Warner Bros. to bring Poison Ivy to the DCEU, promising fans she would continue to push for it as long as that's what they truly want. Perhaps the two will have a chance to work together in the upcoming Gotham City Sirens film. Should that actually happen, Robbie said she would want to stay as true to the comics as possible, showcasing even the highly intimate relationship between Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

The 35-year-old Fox, who is known for her roles in various sci-fi and action films such as TransformersTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Rogue, has kept a relatively low profile in the last couple of years, making short-lived on-screen appearances every now and then. Only recently has she fully resurfaced in the mainstream media, with her sudden comeback constantly making headlines, and a role as one of Batman's most formidable foes would certainly be welcomed by fans.

Gotham City Sirens is reportedly still in development.
