Since Capcom announced that Mega Man 11 was in development at the end of 2017, fans of the series have waited eagerly for a release date. If a recent PlayStation Store leak is true, Mega Man fans seemingly will not have to wait very long for the upcoming title.

An image of a listing for Mega Man 11 on the PlayStation Store in Singapore was posted on Twitter on Saturday. The listing, which included a detailed description of the upcoming title, indicated that the game will release on October 3rd.

The description included in the listing suggests that the new title promises to update the iconic series while still maintaining all the aspects players loved about the long-running series. The listing’s full description reads as follows:

Capcom has yet to officially announce a release date for the title or even comment on the supposed leak. However, the publisher did state that the game was set for a late 2018 release. The listing has since been removed from the store, despite screenshots of the game’s description already in mass circulation on social media.

Mega Man 11’s release date seems to be one of many recent leaks to have been made through an accidental store listing in recent weeks. Although it is always important to take potentially leaked information with a grain of salt, with the release date having been revealed through the PlayStation Store and Capcom having aimed to release during the time period indicated, it does seem as if there is a high chance this release date could be true. With eight years having passed since the last Mega Man release, there are without a doubt many fans of the series who cannot wait to get their hands on the new title.

Mega Man 11 is set to be released on 3 October for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
