Just several days ago, a recent listing that had been published on the PlayStation Store in Singapore supposedly leaked the release date for Capcom’s forthcoming action-platformer Mega Man 11. Now, the video game publisher and developer has officially confirmed the game's actual launch date – disproving the aforementioned rumor – by putting out a new trailer unveiling that its availability will be October 2, 2018 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

As seen below in Capcom's new trailer for Mega Man 11, not only does the footage detail the game's release date, but also it shows off some new features that fans should expect out of the forthcoming side-scroller. For instance, the Double Gear system is introduced, and it will allow players to use new abilities such as those that slow down time or strengthen attacks. However, the feature could cause the Blue Bomber to overheat – as indicated by a power bar – that will force him to wait a little while before using it again.

What's more is that Capcom's new Mega Man 11 trailer confirms that the game will have voice acting, which is something many fans of the franchise likely weren't expecting, but could be delighted by, as the vocals for the each of the characters sound quite good this time around. Additionally, we're given a look at a new boss named Fuse Man, while Block Man is also given even more screen time in the video.

For those unaware, Mega Man 11 was officially announced several months ago, with Capcom using the title as a way to celebrate the franchise's 30th anniversary. Mega Man 11 will be the first title in the long-running series since the release of Mega Man 10 back in 2010, with the eleventh entry opting for 3D graphics over its predecessor's use of a pixelated 8-bit visual style inspired by the NES originals.

All things considered, Mega Man 11 looks fantastic when it comes to the potential in its gameplay, graphics, and soundtrack, so it should serve as a solid means for die-hard fans to return to the franchise and for newcomers to experience the Blue Bomber in action for the first time. Thankfully, it will be available on myriad platforms in order to offer practically everyone the chance to play it at launch.

Mega Man 11 is set to release on October 2, 2018 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
