The people at Render Cube and Toplitz Production have announced a new patch for their survival game Medieval Dynasty. The patch version 1.4.1.4 brings along console-specific changes to the game as well as added features and a host of bug fixes. The much-awaited changes include easier placement of fences and gates.

Medieval Dynasty is a survival and adventure game set in medieval times. The players assume the role of a young man that takes it upon himself to become the next great leader of his community. There's an open world to explore, and players need to craft their way to the top by hunting, gathering, crafting, and building. Medieval Dynasty combines elements of survival, role-playing, simulation, adventure, and strategy.

The developer Render Cube and the publisher Toplitz Productions have announced a new update for the game. In the update, all platforms get various bug fixes and changes to the gameplay. Unfortunately, the update doesn't address the Medieval Dynasty's text issues. However, there are a few instrumental changes in this patch. The first one is the addition of a new Performance Mode for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This allows better framerates with a drop in graphics quality.

Now, the players can select between Quality and Performance in the Graphics menu. Instead of the standard 30 frames per second, both Xbox and PS5 players can enjoy a much smoother 60 fps with the Performance option. This might be especially useful in the Medieval Dynasty in situations like hunting, where accuracy is important. In terms of graphics, this will downgrade the resolution, as expected. On the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the original dynamic resolution between 4K and 1440p will be to 1440p - 1080p. For Xbox Series S, the change is from 1440p - 1080p to 1080p - 900p.

Another major change is issued to make the creation of fences and gates in the game easier and faster. For all platforms, the update adds an anchoring mechanism that allows the continuation of the structure from the previous block. Before the patch, users have had to try and match the end of the previous fence, road, or gate piece. Making fences in this fashion is bound to result in tiny gaps, even with a lot of care put into building a village in the Medieval Dynasty. Players can now also invert fence selection to face the front the way they like.

There are also a bunch of other lesser changes. Medieval Dynasty's NPCs get an updated clothing system, roads can be added under gates already built, animal behavior and physics are improved, and there's now support for several new languages.
