Some might say that the "best" location to build a village in Medieval Dynasty is a matter of opinion. On one hand, this appears to be true. Players can beat the game by building villages in the most ridiculous locations if they wish.

However, there does seem to be an answer when players account for all the factors that a village should have. Only one spot in the game allows for a truly complete town where recruits of any walk of life with find some satisfaction. Head there in Medieval Dynasty and check it out firsthand.

The Best Village Location

Medieval Dynasty Best Village Location On Map

Many of the "best" building locations out there think about the early game alone. They want logs for homes and some water to drink from. Granted, both of these are indeed important, but the components of a perfect village are so much more.

There are only five cave locations in the entire game and a mine needs to be built on one of them. This limits the areas considerably. Of the five spots, only one of them is close to a large body of water. Check the southeastern corner.

Coincidentally, it also is next to the best hunting grounds in the game, well within reach of any potential hunters. Despite the mountainous look, there is a large flat area between the trails than can fix a maxed-out 16x16 grid.

Are there cons to this area? Sure. It's a bit far away from the main cities. And straw doesn't grow nearby (though this is hardly an issue due to how light that is). But with all the trees, rocks, fishing, hunting, and space, there truly isn't a better area in the game to have a village be.

If gamers abandon the concept of being next to a cave, options open up a little bit more. The best farmland in the game by a substantial margin is just east of the starting area. There aren't any woods nearby, but the flat area allows for nearly unlimited growth potential.

Finally, there is a lake in the dead center of the map that is equidistant from the main cities and yet isolated. There is great fishing amongst the trees and mountains. The hunting is admittedly light, but not so much that it can't be done.

Medieval Dynasty is available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
