Medal of Honor Doubles The DLC With 'Hot Zone' & 'Clean Sweep'

Medal of Honor Multiplayer DLC Hot Zone

We already knew that EA was rewarding gamers for their loyal service in Medal of Honor's multiplayer with a free download of a new mode and two new maps. Now comes word that on the same date of release for the previously mentioned update, there will be another piece of DLC with a price.

Featured in the DLC is a new multiplayer mode titled Hot Zone. Hot Zone is a play on the old King of the Hill variant where the two multiplayer teams must fight to capture and hold a set point on a map. Currently Medal of Honor has a similar multiplayer mode that requires a team hold a set of three various areas the longest. Along with the new mode comes two new maps, Hindukush Pass and Korengal Outpost, and altered versions of Shahikot Valley and Helmand Valley to better play with the new Hot Zone mode.

While the Clean Sweep addition will be a free download, this DLC will run 800 Microsoft points or $9.99 on the PSN, EA’s network and on the PC. Either way players who have an online pass for the game will be able to partake in some new content no matter what. For those who might not have heard, Clean Sweep is a version of Team Deathmatch similar to what you would find in Gears of War, where two teams are tasked with eliminating each other, Tier 1 style, without the added cushion of respawns.

In my opinion Hot Zone looks fun but I am more excited about Clean Sweep, because not only is it free but it adds a new fun mode to the multiplayer. The single player might have been a little too short for some people’s liking, but based on sales numbers there are plenty of gamers out there ready to pick up these two pieces of DLC.

Not counting the obvious price implications which of these two DLC pieces are you more excited for? Clean Sweep’s deathmatch style mode or Hot Zone’s capture and hold style?

Medal of Honor gets new DLC November 2nd for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
