At their E3 press conference earlier this week, EA announced the upcoming multiplayer beta for Medal of Honor was set to launch June 21st, this Monday. Well, that date still rings true for PS3 and PC, but not so much for the Xbox 360 as it has been delayed.
Medal of Honor's community manager, Matt Pruitt explains:
"The Medal of Honor beta for the Xbox 360 is delayed, but it is expected to be available next week. We are extremely disappointed about this, but want to assure you that we are dedicated and determined to delivering all of you this awesome multiplayer experience as soon as possible. However, we are excited to extend the beta to make up for lost time! The beta will continue as planned for the PlayStation 3 and PC. For these platforms, the beta starts on June 21st."
They don't go into detail on why the delay is happening, but either way it looks like you won't have to wait too long as the beta will still kick-off later in the week. Maybe this is all karma because Xbox 360 had timed exclusives on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC's. Touché, Murphy's Law, touché.
Remember, in order to participate in the beta on June 21st, you have to pre-order Medal of Honor to gain access. If you've done that, and have Battlefield: Bad Company 2, you can sign up for EA's Gun Club and get in the beta today - June 17th.
Will you be playing the beta? Are you excited for Medal of Honor?
Medal of Honor is scheduled to release on October 12th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
