When She-Ra yells "For the Honor of Grayskull," she amasses her powers to repel the threat of the Horde from the planet Etheria. With her brother He-Man defending Eternia from Skeletor, the siblings and their companions can save the day no matter the threat. With Netflix launching a new series, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, fans and newcomers can once again see these heroes save the day with their unique technological and sorcerous talents.

While the Masters of the Universe get to save the day, their villains are by no means pushovers. Some of their mightiest villains have impressive abilities that almost always drive the Masters of the Universe to a corner. Which among the members of this rogues gallery pose the most threat to the franchise's heroes?

Note: Catra has been left out since her status as a villain is complicated.

10 Shokoti

Shokoti using a spell

Powerful sorceresses remain a staple among He-Man's most notorious foes, and Shokoti serves as one of them. Despite her short stint in the universe, Shokoti proved more than powerful enough to use her magic to trap He-Man, Battle Cat, and Ram Man in her illusions. It's only through the Sorceress' intervention and Shokoti's rather odd weakness for sunlight that managed to save He-Man and his team.

Given enough screen time, Shokoti could pose a serious threat with her powers of illusion. Since the Masters of the Universe aren't necessarily immune to telepathic attacks, Shokoti could wreak havoc in their ranks with a properly-timed spell.

9 Grizzlor

Grizzlor

Originally thought of as an urban legend, the imposing and terrifying Grizzlor is a reality and a member of the Evil Horde. Befitting his appearance as a grizzled humanoid beast, Grizzlor boasts tremendous strength and durability. Grizzlor fears nothing, capable of having a rampage that even He-Man had trouble stopping. It's only by seeing his face that Grizzlor stopped his rampage and became terrified of himself.

Despite the rather straightforward nature of his character, Grizzlor remains iconic for his appearance and demeanor. While He-Man can outwit foes using reason and logic, it is another thing entirely to think of a way to stop Grizzlor, who himself has a penchant to love fighting.

8 Evil-Lyn

Evil-Lyn casting a spell

A powerful warrior-sorceress, Evil-Lyn serves as one of the Skeletor's most-trusted among his Evil Warriors. Evil-Lyn possesses not just tremendous fighting ability but also cunning and magical potency that can match the most talented sorcerers amongst the Masters of the Universe. She's also notable for using various magic spells and even disguises to fool the Masters of the Universe.

Just because Evil-Lyn is a teammate of Skeletor doesn't mean she's always working for him. Evil-Lyn actually does her own set of schemes, either on her own or with other villains. It's this sheer cunning and non-devotion to Skeletor that makes Evil-Lyn quite the deadly foe.

7 Evilseed

Evilseed

A humanoid plant should be hardly a threat, right? In the case of Evilseed, he became too powerful of an entity that Skeletor, his benefactor, had to ask He-Man for help just to stop his schemes. When Evilseed made his first appearance, the villain created seeds that became vines so powerful that he threatened to overtake Eternia itself.

Unlike his original counterpart, Skeletor managed to tame Evilseed in the more recent series. After He-Man imprisons Evilseed, Skeletor frees him and invites him to join his Evil Council. In an ensuing conflict, Evilseed flees from both the Evil Council and the Masters of the Universe.

6 Faker

Faker

If Skeletor is an evil sorcerer with an empire under his belt, shouldn't he be able to just duplicate He-Man like how Eggman did with Sonic? As a matter of fact, Skeletor already did this in the form of Faker. This orange-armored Smurf-ied He-Man clone has had different origin stories, from being a robotic duplicate to a magical creation.

Regardless of this detail, it's implied that Faker has been built to possess exactly the kind of powers that He-Man has. While He-Man manages to succeed against Faker, he might find himself outmatched if Skeletor decides to mass-produce Fakers.

5 Daimar

Daimar and Orko

Unlike other foes of the Masters of the Universe, Daimar had a more optimistic upbringing. A demon from the Dark Dimension, Daimar came to Eternia courtesy of an accidental summons by Orko. After playing with the young wizard, the young Daimar formed a cocoon and vanished by the time Orko awoke. Soon, they discover Daimar has grown into a powerful demon that managed to summon a horde of demons to his call.

Daimar has grown too powerful that Skeletor and Evil-Lyn even wanted to bring him to their side. He-Man also knew he's no match against the demon, so he simply reasoned that friendship is a much better thing to do than waging war. It's thanks to He-Man's efforts that Daimar returned to the Dark Dimension, but imagine if the Masters of the Universe had to wage war against a foe He-Man himself knew he could not match.

4 Skeletor

Skeletor charging a spell

If He-Man is the face of the Masters of the Universe, Skeletor represents his villains. This iconic purple-clad, skeleton-faced humanoid seeks nothing but the rulership of Eternia. In his backstories, Skeletor alternates from being an extradimensional entity to being Keldor, the brother of He-Man's father, King Randor.

Regardless of his origins, Skeletor always comes with the same powerset. An extremely powerful user of dark magic, Skeletor channels his spells through his Havoc Staff. This weapon proved mighty enough to contend with He-Man's Sword of Power. Skeletor's dark magic includes energy projection, telepathy, and teleportation.

3 King Hiss

King Hiss

Aside from Skeletor, King Hiss remains one of the most infamous villains throughout the franchise. King Hiss is notable for his leadership of the Snakemen, one of the more ancient civilizations that resided in Eternia. Already an ancient enemy of both King Grayskull and Hordak, King Hiss remains a recurring villain that poses a threat to the plans of other antagonists.

King Hiss is notable for his capability to shed his human skin to reveal his true form – a group of numerous serpents. Aside from this transformation, King Hiss has a wide array of mystical abilities. The Sorceress herself acknowledged King Hiss's powers to be just as powerful as that of the Elders of Eternia.

2 Hordak

Hordak leading his legion

Hordak serves as the leader of the Evil Horde, known for his rulership over the planet of Etheria. Despite his status as a leader, Hordak does serve as the former mentor of Skeletor, with the latter trapping him in another dimension before setting off to conquer Eternia. An angered Hordak swore vengeance over his former pupil, but She-Ra kept him busy.

Aside from his conflicted history with Skeletor, Hordak is known for his terrifying vampiric appearance. Despite Skeletor using magic, Hordak has a knack for using science to achieve his goals. His host of abilities include transformation – Hordak can transform parts of himself or his entire body to overcome various challenges. These transformations include energy cannons, tanks, and even rocket ships. In some of Hordak's depictions, the Evil Horde leader is also shown to be able to use magic of a greater kind than that of Skeletor's.

1 Horde Prime

Horde Prime on his throne

Who better to represent the biggest bad in the Masters of the Universe franchise than the leader of the Evil Horde himself? Horde Prime rides the Velvet Glove as he watches over the Evil Horde's activities throughout the universe. Throughout his appearances, Horde Prime is mainly seen as green smoke. It's only in the comics and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power that fans see Horde Prime as a humanoid.

While She-Ra: Princess of Power doesn't show much in terms of special abilities, its Horde Prime's hold over the Evil Horde that remains most impressive. Considering the scientific prowess of his tyrannical liege Hordak, the lack of any schemes for Hordak to steal Horde Prime's place as the Evil Horde leader is a testament to the former's leadership skills. Or perhaps, Horde Prime has hidden power he refuses to reveal.
