Mass Effect Legendary Edition is out now for consoles, packaging together three of the most critically acclaimed sci-fi RPGs ever with updated visuals and refined controls. For those that are experiencing the sci-fi epic for the first time, it can be a lot to take in at first. Once players complete one of the first missions that Mass Effect 1 has to offer, they are then taken to the Citadel, which can be quite confusing to navigate for first-timers. There are a lot of NPCs to speak to and a multitude of areas to scour through.

By following this guide, Mass Effect 1 players can learn how to leave the Citadel and fly to another locale by way of the Normandy. It may seem like a struggle at first, but once players know exactly how to get to the ship, it'll make their lives much easier.

Around the Citadel, players should have noticed several fast travel terminals that are known as Citadel Rapid Transit. By interacting with these devices, players can quickly navigate to different sectors of the Citadel, and since it's a pretty vast area, the transit system can definitely come in handy. Once players go back to the Council and officially become a Spectre to finish off the mainline quest here, the Normandy will be opened up for Shephard.

Once at the Transit system, players should choose "Wards Locations" and then "C-Sec" to be taken to the academy. From there, enter the elevator that's right in the middle of the room to be taken to the docking bay. The Normandy will be on the left-hand side of this walkway that's in front of the elevator. After a brief cutscene, players will be back inside of the ship and can use it to get to a different destination. Players should to the Combat Information Center and use the Mass Effect Galaxy Map.

It'll look like the Citadel is the only area that's able to be traveled to, but if players zoom out of the map a total of three times, a bunch of other locations will appear, and by selecting one of them, players can travel there and finally leave the Citadel.

Now that players are free to travel wherever they like, they'll be one step closer to stopping Saren from bringing back the Reapers.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
