Scan the Keepers is an Assignment in Mass Effect that players can obtain from a Salarian named Chorban in the Citadel. In order to complete this side mission, fans must find and scan a total of 20 Keepers, and indeed some of them can be slightly tricky to track down. For those players that may be having some trouble completing Mass Effect's Scan the Keepers Assignment, this guide contains full details on the locations of all of the Keepers.

Before diving into all of the Keeper locations in Mass Effect, it is worth mentioning that fans will earn some XP and Credits for each scan and for completing the Assignment in full. There is also another small incentive for tackling this task, though that will not be elaborated here. While these rewards may not seem extremely significant, they do provide a bit of assistance in the early stages of the game.

Mass Effect Keeper Locations

Citadel Tower

  1. Next to Chorban.
  2. In the southwest corner on the top floor.
  3. In the circular area on the east side of the middle floor, just past Rear Admiral Kahoku.
  4. In the northwest corner near the stairs that lead to the bottom floor.

Presidium

  1. By the elevator to the Citadel Tower, next to an Avina.
  2. Near the elevator to Wards Access.
  3. In the Embassy Lounge, on the balcony in the northwest corner.
  4. In room with the Elcor at the northeast corner of the Embassy Lounge
  5. In the northeast corner of the Volus and Elcor Embassy Office.
  6. Near the entrance to the Consort Chambers.
  7. Directly south of the Krogan statue at the south end of the Presidium.
  8. In the Emporium storage.

Wards

  1. On the east side of the Upper Wards, past the Med Clinic and near the Citadel Rapid Transit terminal.
  2. In the northwest corner of the Upper Markets in the Upper Wards.
  3. In the middle of the Alleyway in the Upper Wards.
  4. In the southwest corner of the Flux Casino.
  5. In the Lower Wards, near the entrance to C-Sec Academy.
  6. In the C-Sec Requisition Office in C-Sec Academy.
  7. At the north end of Traffic Control in C-Sec Academy.
  8. At the southwest corner of the Docking Bay.

To note, if a player is in the process of completing the I Remember Me Assignment at the same time as Scan the Keepers then the final Docking Bay Keeper will not appear. Mass Effect fans that find themselves in that situation should turn their attention to the Wards Access area, as there is an additional Keeper in a small room that is situated between the elevator that leads to the Presidium and the one that leads to the Upper Wards.
