Those who have completed the entire Mass Effect Legendary Edition trilogy will want to play it again and it's easy to forget that, at one time, the geth were a bigger problem than the reapers, batarians, or rachni. The average citizen barely considers these latter races, but the geth are spoken of with tones of terror.

And there is a perfectly good reason for that. Even when not assisting Saren Arterius in conquering the Citadel, they have begun attacking planets in alliance space, picking on outer colonies as part of a greater attempt to eradicate all organic life. Unfortunately, while players will be alerted when the targets are close by, they won't be told how to shut them down, resulting in many players leaving this vital quest incomplete.

Preparing For The Encounters

The upcoming battles will be entirely against mechanical targets. The mission is also quite lengthy and spans the course of five different planets, so take a few minutes to get all the gear situated ahead of time. It will be worth it in the long run.

Shepard will be fighting against colossi, destroyers, juggernauts, primes, rocket troopers, shock troopers, snipers, troopers, and turrets. That's just about every geth unit in the game in a very compact window.

Put anti-synthetic rounds in every teammate's gun that is coming along on the mission. Also, replace armor mods that resist biotics with mods that add on shields. The geth are particularly weak against this kind of setup and it will make the mission that much faster.

Destroying The Four Geth Bases

Unfortunately, there's no saving Eden Prime. But after acquiring the Normandy, players will be able to save the rest of the colonies. It all starts in the Armstrong Nebula. After arriving in the area, Admiral Hackett will alert Shepard to geth presence in the area and give him the mission UNC: Geth Incursion.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition Message When Killing The Last Geth Unit

However, this time, when the final geth unit is struck down, players will get a piece of lore that flashes across the screen. This is the end of the quest and it will be reported back and completed when next using the Star Map. Congratulations, this action ends up saving the lives of millions!
