The video game developer BioWare officially reveals a brand new screenshot of the Tempest space ship from its forthcoming science fiction title Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Just a couple of days ago, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn cited the Mass Effect series as an inspiration of his, and that he can’t wait to play the forthcoming entry in the franchise known as Mass Effect: Andromeda. Now, in order to thank the film director for his praise about the science fiction series, BioWare’s General Manager Aaron Flynn has officially released a new screenshot of the title’s Tempest ship on which twin protagonists Scott and Sara Ryder will bunk and explore the galaxy with their respective crews.

Rather than share the image of the Tempest directly with Gunn, however, Aaron Flynn decided to release it in a tweet in order to give fans a decent look at what the ship looks like from a ground-level perspective. The BioWare GM said on Twitter that he wanted to share the screenshot as a thank you to Gunn for his “kind words and excitement” about Andromeda, and as seen in the screenshot below, it’s a pretty cool way to show someone gratitude.

Perhaps another way that Aaron Flynn could thank James Gunn would be to put in a good word for him to helm the direction of Legendary Pictures’ movie based on the Mass Effect franchise that’s in the works. Of course, there’s no telling when or if the film will make its way onto the silver screen, but it’s quite possible that Gunn would turn down being the project’s director considering his opinion that most video game movies are “bad.”

As far as Mass Effect: Andromeda‘s Tempest is concerned, though, fans can rest easy knowing that BioWare has made some improvements to players’ primary vessel. As it happens, developers have previously revealed that there will be no ship loading screens on the Tempest. Furthermore, BioWare has promised to unveil even more about the ship and Nomad vehicle tomorrow in a new Andromeda Initiative brief.

Bearing all of this in mind, it seems as if BioWare still has plenty of information to give to its fans prior to the impending launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Just recently, in fact, the game’s lead designer, Ian Frazier, assured fans that the studio should be sharing news regarding Andromeda‘s multiplayer beta test and its release date before the end of the month. With any luck, the upcoming trial will help BioWare smooth out any issues before the game’s relatively imminent launch.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release on March 21, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
