In ten days countless gamers across the globe will get to experience Mass Effect: Andromeda, BioWare's continuation of one of the most popular space epics of all time. If the previous Mass Effect titles are any indication, Andromeda will feature complex characters, intriguing dialogue, intense gameplay, and an abundance of new locations to explore within the Andromeda Galaxy.

That's a lot of things to take in, and many gamers worry they'll miss out on hidden content if they're not prepared for it - which is exactly why Prima is preparing a strategy guide for the occasion. What's new this time around, however, is that even this strategy guide comes with two different special editions.

In an era filled with season pass content, microtransactions, store-specific exclusives, and a focus on tiered content, it almost comes as no surprise to see that even strategy guides are now getting in on the popular retail structure. While Mass Effect fans can secure the regular and collector's editions in tandem with the game's launch of March 21st, the top-tier Pathfinder Edition won't be available until a week after the game's launch.

The standard edition of the Andromeda strategy guide will contain the usual info-visuals that fans have been relying on since strategy guides were produced: step-by-step walkthroughs, tactics, illustrated maps, multiplayer tips, and detailed inventory descriptions will all be shown in the official Prima guide.

The Collector's Edition (which begs for jokes from the original trilogy) wraps up the aforementioned content in a premium hardcover, and includes bonus interviews with developers, signatures, and a foreword from BioWare Lead Designer Ian Frazier.

The most dedicated of Mass Effect fans may be seduced by the top-tier Pathfinder Edition, which comes with the bounty of an exclusive Andromeda Initiative backpack capable of holding a 15 inch laptop. This bundle also includes an alternative hardcover, an Andromeda Initiative welcome letter, an 11" x 17" colorful galaxy chart, a field journal, a branded envelope, and a DLC code that will grant players a Multiplayer Booster package with weapons and and equipment. This retails for around $94, but the top-tier Pathfinder strategy guide reportedly doesn't release until March 28, a week behind Andromeda's launch.

What do you think about three different tiers of strategy guides launching for Mass Effect: Andromeda, Ranters?

Mass Effect: Andromeda releases on March 21, 2017, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
