The members of the Andromeda Initiative are an interesting bunch in Mass Effect Andromeda. Each crew member brings unique personalities and ambitions to the table that may or may not align with your own goals as Pathfinder. So who will you choose to travel the galaxy with?
To determine which romantic partner best aligns with your intentions it can be helpful to identify which personalities mesh with yours. Her are all of the romantic interests in the game and some reasons why their MBTI® personality may be a good fit for you.
10 Avela: INFP (Mediator)
Avela is a quiet soul deeply devoted to her research into the mysterious ancient relics of a bygone age. She’s so devoted to this project that she will turn down the player’s advances for a long-term serious relationship and wish to have one after they’re both done with their work, promising to wait for that day.
This puts her firmly in the INFP category. She’s independent, almost to a fault, and places a high value on personal responsibility and loyalty. If you want someone who won't be a distraction from your Pathfinding duties and has ambitions of her own then Avela is a good choice.
9 Cora: ENFP (Campaigner)
Since Cora developed her Biotic skills she’s felt isolated and different from everyone she views as normal. It’s only until she finds the Andromeda Initiative crew that she finds a group that allows her to feel belonged yet still enable her to remain independent.
Cora is an ENFP personality type who wants to roam the stars and doesn’t want to be tied down or placed in a box. She’s a good pick if you want someone adventurous, deeply loyal, but doesn’t need someone to hold their hand all the time.
8 Gil: ISFJ (Defender)
Gil’s methods of joining the team is a bit mysterious, but there’s no denying he’s a friendly fellow who’s deeply attached to his friend Jill. This connection is so strong that he ends up being the father of her child and co-parenting it along with the player.
As an ISFJ you won't find anyone more caring and if you’re comfortable with the strong ties he has to Jill he makes for a loving and devoted partner. Gil is a man who will work tirelessly to improve the lives of those he cares about and will do everything within his power to make them happy.
7 Liam: ISFP (Adventurer)
The security specialist Liam is an intimidating soul who turns out to be a big softie on the inside. He struggles to socialize with others and comes across as awkward but proves to be very kind and tender-hearted to those he opens up to.
Liam is an ISFP who takes some time to become comfortable with others but builds strong attachments once he does. If you want someone capable in battle, but cheesy enough to shape clouds into hearts on a date then Liam is a solid pick.
6 Dr. Suvi: ENTP (Debater)
Dr. Suvi is dedicated to her work as it’s meant to rectify both her religious and, what she believes are contradicting scientific beliefs. This results in a woman who’s excellent at theories and stepping out of the box. She also struggles to engage with her emotions and needs time to connect with others and feel comfortable expressing how she feels.
In true ENTP fashion, Dr. Suvi is the kind to develop relationships gradually and in private. If you want someone who’ll keep the romance on the down-low then Dr. Suvi is for you.
5 PeeBee: INTJ (Architect)
PeeBee is very strong-willed and often operates at emotional extremes. She prefers solitude and keeping relationships casual, but crack that tough exterior and she becomes extremely attached and solely devoted to the one she cares about.
PeeBee is an INTJ who wants to see and try new things and doesn’t act in moderation. If you’re willing to struggle through the casual fling phase you’ll find a romantic partner willing to meld for life with the one she develops attachments to.
4 Jaal: ESTJ (Executive)
Jaal is an honorable man who does what is right, no matter the consequences. His race's traditions and his own moral compass guide him in a world of gray. As a champion for what he believes is right he’ll stare down the barrel of a gun and prove an intimidating opponent to what he perceives as evil.
He is very much an ESTJ who charts his own course forward and remains loyal to friends and family. If you want someone who has strong convictions and is willing to put his life on the line for them then Jaal is your man.
3 Vetra: ISTJ (Logistician)
Vetra has had a hard life and been forced to do some terrible things to provide for her and her sister. She’s constantly fighting for a better future and to prevent her sister from going down the same dark path she did, no matter how dirty her own hands have to get in order to accomplish this.
Vetra is definitely an ISTJ who’s serious and has ambitions she’ll constantly be working towards. If you want someone who will stand by your side through thick and thin then Vetra is the woman for you.
2 Reyes: ESTP (Entrepreneur)
Reyes is a rogue in every sense of the world. He’s a man of action and will only draw up plans when he has to or if it’s interesting to him. His social skills are exceptional and you can believe if anyone has information or knows a guy who does, it’ll be Reyes.
This causes him to be in the ESTP category as he’s a man of action who flies by the seat of his pants. His criminal enterprise is concerning, but if you like the charming bad boy type then this is the one you’ll pick.
1 Keri: ESFJ (Consul)
In her younger years Keri was a party goer and attended all the social events full of glam and glitz. After a while she discovered her passion for uncovering the truth and now seeks attention through journalistic discoveries and shocking revelations.
As an ESFJ she has her wants and needs and isn’t willing to hinder or change them for anyone else’s. She knows what she wants and she’s going to get it. If you want someone who isn’t particularly attached and could care less what you do in your free time as long as you don’t have problems with her choices then Keri is probably the one you should pick.
