Mass Effect: Andromeda producer Michael Gamble reveals on Twitter that BioWare is planning to release new information about the game this morning at 10 AM PST.

[UPDATE: BioWare’s General Manager Aaron Flynn announces the official release date for Mass Effect: Andromeda. The original story continues below.]

One of the year’s most highly anticipated titles is BioWare’s Mass Effect: Andromeda, the next chapter in the Mass Effect universe. Gamers are especially excited for more details considering Mass Effect: Andromeda will focus on a new crew and fresh gameplay apart from the original trilogy in the series.

To the delight of many gamers, Mass Effect: Andromeda producer Michael Gamble tweeted that BioWare will be releasing some new information about the game today at 10 AM PST. While he didn’t reveal what the information is that the developer is planning to share, the tease is enough to excited fans of the franchise.

In addition to the news coming this morning, BioWare is also planning to share some new footage of Mass Effect: Andromeda during Nvidia’s CES keynote address this evening. With that in mind, it’s unlikely BioWare will reveal a great deal of info about the game, knowing that it will be sharing more at 6:30 PM PST at CES. Gamers are anxious to see what BioWare has to share, especially when it comes to the characters in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

During The Game Awards, the developer shared a gameplay trailer that showed off underwhelming character animations, despite saying months earlier that the characters looked amazing. After The Game Awards trailer, Gamble said the team will continue to polish the game until the game goes live, but gamers are still concerned about the quality of the game’s graphics.

More recently, BioWare’s General Manager, Aaryn Flynn, took to Twitter to let gamers know the game’s protagonist, Sara Ryder, is “strong, funny, and adventurous”, and again apologized for her poor facial performance in the trailer. Obviously, the backlash over the trailer has hit the team at BioWare hard, and they seem anxious to reclaim the hype players had when the game was originally announced. mass-effect-andromeda-ryder-facial-animation Hopefully, both this morning’s news and this evening’s footage reveal reignite confidence in the game for fans. Considering the fact that Mass Effect: Andromeda is still slated to release early 2017, there’s not much time for BioWare to ramp up the marketing and excitement, especially with other hot games set to release during the first few months of the year, along with the Nintendo Switch. If rumors about Mass Effect: Andromeda’s release date is to be believed, BioWare only has until the end of March to convince gamers to pick up the game.

What do you think BioWare will reveal this morning about Mass Effect: Andromeda?

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release early 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
