BioWare releases a video featuring Christine Lakin, the voice actress for Peebee, a new Asari character that will appear in the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Even though Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release next month, much of the game is still shrouded in mystery. BioWare is keeping its cards close to its chest when it comes to Mass Effect: Andromeda, particularly as it pertains to the game’s story and the characters players will meet during their adventure. While BioWare seems to be keeping most details about the characters secret, it has released a new video that serves as a proper introduction for one of the squadmates players can recruit in the game.

The squadmate in question is an Asari by the name of Peebee. Peebee is different from the Asari players have encountered in previous Mass Effect games in that she has a bubbly personality and is often making jokes instead of being cold and calculating. Peebee’s voice actress, Christine Lakin, says in the video that while not all of Peebee’s jokes land, she is confident that players will grow to love her by the time the credits roll.

In the video, Lakin also says that Peebee will “fall in love” during the events of Mass: Effect Andromeda. While it’s not explicitly stated, Lakin’s comments seem to suggest that Peebee is one of the game’s romance options, which BioWare has said it will keep secret until the game launches in March.

While it seems as though Lakin’s comments leak the ability of Commander Ryder to romance Peebee, it’s possible she could fall in love with a different, non-playable character in the game. It’s hard to say who that character could be, especially since BioWare hasn’t elaborated much on the characters players will interact with aboard the Tempest spaceship, but it could be anyone in Commander Ryder’s squad or some other NPC elsewhere.

Perhaps we will learn more about Commander Ryder’s other squadmates in the coming weeks. BioWare could release more videos like Peebee’s that allow voice actors to introduce the characters they’re playing in the game as a way to build additional hype for Mass Effect: Andromeda‘s release.

Even if BioWare decides against releasing more videos like this one featuring Christine Lakin and her character Peebee, fans still don’t have to wait much longer to learn about the characters of Mass Effect: Andromeda. After originally being announced at EA’s E3 2015 press conference, the game is finally nearing the end of development and is on track to hit store shelves at the end of next month.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available on March 21, 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
