Marvel's Spider-Man hasn't added a suit that represents the Symbiote suit, which is a black-and-white, living organism that bonds to its hosts. Most fans of Spider-Man's are likely aware that the symbiote is known by the name Venom when parasitically bonded with Eddie Brock Jr, or other hosts who commonly use the malignant substance as an antagonist figure in earlier comics. Marvel's Spider-Man teases the anti-hero coming in the sequel, and fans are beginning to speculate about the suit's potential design.

Spoilers for Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales below.

While many fans have wished for the Symbiote suit to be added to Marvel's Spider-Man, there may be a reason why that fans can infer from that decision. Marvel's Spider-Man introduces the iconic alien symbiote in a post-credits cutscene, where it is seen performing a seemingly restorative function in Harry Osborn's fluid tank. But though Venom and the Symbiote suit are not currently confirmed to appear in the sequel, a fan's open-ended question has resulted in an overwhelming response with hopes for Insomniac's superhero franchise.

Redditor luisanga27 asks whether players would prefer a fabric-based or organic-based symbiote suit for the sequel to Marvel's Spider-Manusing two pieces of fan art to demonstrate a speculative visual of what these two Symbiote suit concepts may look like. NfuseDev is behind the fan art for the fabric-based suit, while ArtStation's Pol Lerigoleur is behind the fan art for the organic-based suit.

A fabric concept would allow Insomniac to creatively design the black suit around Marvel's Spider-Man's Advanced Suit as it blends in, replicating certain textures while exaggerating the chest insignia further. Rather, an organic concept would allow for interesting animations with the substance moving as its own entity, along with a distinguishable texture and glossy aesthetic.

Mando_slayer explains that they would like to see a transition from "a black advanced suit to slowly becoming more organic" with its features and webbing patterns disappearing over time. Other fans have likened this gradual suit evolution, or degradation, to the same concept used in the Spectacular Spider-Man television show. This would indicate larger speculation for a sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man where Peter Parker would gradually become more antagonistic as the suit takes over, and the suit could change its appearance to reflect Peter's change.

This idea would bridge both of luisanga27's style preference choices in a meaningful way and affect the sequel's narrative. However, it would not be surprising if the Marvel's Spider-Man's sequel included more than one variation of the Symbiote suit. If the suit does indeed make an appearance in a sequel, then the potential for more Symbiote suits to be offered as unlockable suits in Marvel's Spider-Man is high, whether they are based on other iterations from comic book source material or cinematic adaptations.

Marvel's Spider-Man is available now on PS4 and PS5.
