The quality and customization of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered's photo mode shine once again as a player manages to recreate the iconic poster of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 in the game. The action-adventure open-world game by Insomniac Games is a wonderful experience that boasts an original Spider-Man story in a beautiful recreation of New York City, it's not hard to imagine many would want to capture that beauty in a photo that calls back to a fan-favorite film. That's what one player set out to do in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered.

Nowadays, many Sony games either come equipped with a photo mode, or have one added in later, such as the recent God of War: Ragnarok added last December. What makes these photo modes so spectacular is the myriad options that players have to use, so they can craft such magnificent pictures in the game. From options like enemy/hero visibility to depth of field to filters and emotes, it has never been easier for players to make photos with quality on par with those made by game developers themselves.

One Reddit user by the name of Mr_ACGamble made one such photo by utilizing Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered's built in photo mode. The picture they posted to r/gaming is a shot of Spider-Man in the Webbed Suit, an outfit based on the suit from Spider-Man 2, attached to one of the many buildings in the game's open world, looking out at the city before him as the warm sunlight reflects off of his visor, all of which is a close recreation of the poster for the Sam Raimi directed movie.

Though the picture is not perfect, as it is missing several key pieces of the original poster, such as the reflection of Doctor Octopus in the visor, Mary Jane in his arm, and Spider-Man himself extending his arm ready to shoot a web. While not an exact replica of the iconic poster from the 2004 film, it does match the tone and lighting nearly perfectly that any who were to look at it would know immediately what the player was trying to do. Regardless of whatever is actually missing from the picture, it is still an example of an amazing photo mode that is found in many of Sony's games like The Last of Us Part 2.

It is wonderful pictures like these that are a testament to the ease with which players are able to create with in-game photo modes. By adding such features to games, developers are not only unlocking a player's creativity by giving them tools to take beautiful pictures, but they are even giving themselves more methods to market the game. As more and more players share their in-game shots with the world, recreating shots like those recreating scenes from HBO's The Last of Us, the more lucrative it is for developers to add features like photo mode in future games, providing the players an outlet to explore their creativity.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is available to play on PS5 and PC.
