Despite Marvel’s Spider-Man being three and a half years old, fans are still finding ways to have fun with the Insomniac Games title. For example, one recent video showcases a Marvel’s Spider-Man player’s Miles Morales build, and the fan does a fine job of replicating the character's Venom Strikes.

Obviously, a super-powered Miles Morales is not playable in the first Marvel’s Spider-Man game. While players do control Miles for some of Marvel’s Spider-Man’s stealth missions, his gameplay is nothing like it is in his own game. As such, recreating Miles electric abilities, even loosely, is an impressive feat. Reddit user Natemophi was up to the challenge, though, making a viable Miles Morales build as a joke.

Despite this build originating as a fun play on the “we have that at home” meme, it actually looks like a lot of fun based on the footage the Reddit user shared. The key to making the build work is the Electric Punch ability, which is obtained through the Electrically Insulated Suit. With this ability, Peter Parker can charge up his punches, and a slam into the ground will actually let the electricity chain between groups of enemies. This is exactly what the Redditor does in the clip, electrocuting their enemies before beating them down just like Miles Morales would.

Perhaps the best part is that the Reddit user tried to look the part by wearing the Secret War suit, one of many alternate costumes in Marvel’s Spider-Man. While nothing looks exactly like Miles’ signature black and red outfit, this suit is perhaps the best match, as it has some red webbing like Miles’ iconic attire. Unfortunately, it has a large blue spider symbol on its back and a smaller one on its front, both of which stand out. On the bright side, the suit's spiders do match the blue electricity wielded by the Redditor.

With Miles’ lighting being yellow and the blue spider symbols ensuring that Peter’s suit looks close but is not fully accurate, Natemophi has succeeded in making their Miles Morales meme build. Unsurprisingly, fans of the game loved this video of the older Spidey imitating his crime fighting partner, with the post bringing in over 1,600 upvotes. The best comment came from a Redditor that dubbed this build “Kilometers Morales,” continuing the joke that is almost like the real deal.

While the build was created for a laugh, it is a good reminder of how fun Marvel’s Spider-Man’s suit abilities can be, and those that are still playing the game regularly may want to give the Electric Punch a try. Considering that a Marvel’s Avengers player made a Miles Morales class, too, it seems like a lot of players love using the hero’s lightning powers.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is available now on PS4 and PS5. A PC version will be releasing on August 12.
